That sucks. Don't give business to this room anymore. Can't really speculate about what happened as it could have literally been anything. Maybe there is some conspiracy of the floor pocketing the money, maybe honest mistake, maybe story is true, maybe the floor is just lazy to do paperwork (could be the case.)

Sadly some poker rooms are run poorly and here there was clearly a problem with the customer service and how communicate and the whole situation was handled. They seemed to be rude to you.

I recommend writing a letter with details to corporate with name of floor manager and time of incident. Other than that, for $100 (I know the principal is a b*tch, I'm the same way) just let it go past the letter. Just don't play there anymore but if you have no choice, be very careful when dealing with the floor in the future.

I'm not ranting. I used to work for multiple casinos and I know for a fact that this type of situation shouldn't arise, ever. It's whatever as far as amount, it's $100, but I don't like being robbed. Let me ask you this:

If you dropped a $20 bill that was clearly yours, and some guy came by and said, "Hey, that's mine" and took it, and another person came along that wasn't involved, has no basis to make any statement about it, and said, "Yeah, that IS his," but the bill was CLEARLY yours... what would you do?

Moreover, the prize was not 5 cents, it was $100. And since I make about $100 an hour, it's worth 5-10 minutes of my time to fight for that, because that saves me 50 minutes of work tomorrow.

So out of curiosity, why were you looking for staking less that two months ago?

My business and personal income and poker are completely separate. I've been playing off the same $250 since I was 18 years old, and that roll took a dip after some live staking ventures/live trips went poorly.

Connections are really big to me -- so to be 100% honest, I had some other motives behind finding a full time backer on the business end of things, however I've found somebody for that, but that's my business, literally.

Honestly, I think that's completely irrelevant to the thread or what happened. When I played semi professionally, this would have been a valid question moreso, but, I don't mind answering it.

I would do exactly what you're doing here, but not "because it's the principle." I would do it because it's $20. Again, if it were five cents, you think I'm going jump in and fight with these people? I'm going to laugh at them. $20 isn't a laughing matter. But you know that, that's why you changed my example from $.05 to $20--you knew your example would sound ridiculous if $.05 were on the line.

BTW, I'm glad you make $100/hr, but it's LOL that you'd mention that here. Back when Artie Lange was spiraling out of control on his last days on the Stern show, he angrily pivoted any discussion that was critical of him to, "How much do you make?!?", as if his higher income had any bearing on what was being discussed.
