Question for dealers who have switched casinos...

Hi all. I'm a poker dealer who has only had one poker dealing job so far. I've been in this casino for a few years and now i'd like to make a move. I guess my concern is this: Seeing as how my dealing job is my only relavent experience my best references would be my current supervisors and co-workers, however, i'm not exactly trying to advertise the fact that I plan on leaving. I'm sure a lot of dealers on this forum will have some wisdom as to how to get around this. I'd greatly appreciate some feeback. Thanks!

Just list them. They aren't going to call them anyway. They're just going to call HR to confirm your dates of employment.

They are more likely to find out because you will probably see current coworkers at the audition.

Yeah, beyond confirming your employment, there's little they can say anyway.

If they said something like "He's been written up twice for being rude to customers" or "we fired him for excessive tardiness" and you don't get the job, you could technically sue. In retail, you're not even allowed to tell a prospective employer you fired someone from stealing from you. That might be different for casino dealers, though, because of the gaming license etc.

Most job applications I have filled out request personal references not professional references (typically telling you not to list employers/supervisors)
