NY Casinos?

I go to school right on the Hudson, so about a 50 mile drive to NYC, and roughly a 3 hour trip to AC. I was just wondering if anyone knew of any decent casinos that are closer than Atlantic City (shorter trip). I'm not very familiar with NY at all, even though I've been going to school in the area for over 3 years now, so thanks for any input.

Re: NY Casinos?

Consider Turning Stone near Syracuse, Foxwoods or Mohegan Sun in CT, or Sands, Parx, Mt Airy, or Mohegan Sun Poconos in PA.

Re: NY Casinos?

I've heard of Foxwoods and Turning Stone, but not the others. Thanks for the suggestions, very much appreciated.

Re: NY Casinos?

I live near the hudson about 30 miles from NYC and sands is an hour and 15minute drive for me, but Mohegan Sun at pocono downs if more north so it might be closer to you, but the games are not as good as Sands.

I play at turning stone weekly and I'd recommend it. Not sure there is much else besides some small horse tracks around.

TS is exit 33 of the thru way.

Re: NY Casinos?

Just for reference, Turning Stone is 250 miles from Westchester County area, that's not close at all!

Mohegan Sun is approximately 100 miles from White Plains area and Foxwoods is about 115 miles from White Plains.

Atlantic City is about 150 miles from Yonkers area.
