Most Annoying Thing About Live Poker - Page 3 - Poker Card Room

Just about everything listed already. I especially love( actually hate) people that blow or pic their nose or wipe snot with their fingers and then grab the cards (the same cards you will be holding in the next few hands). Also just substitute blood for snot. I see people eating at the table and handling their food while touching the same cards that have been touched by the inconsiderate people. Which is the reason why I try not to eat food at the table that I have to handle with my fingers.

I used to play at Winstar and the dealer told me they will let someone be away from the table for 90 before they rack them up. This was on a Friday night too, when the list is 30 minutes+ for a table.

The rooms out in the Bay area all seem to be 30 minutes, which is at least good for the full rooms.

i dont like that because im playing poker that Im also some sports expert and people start getting into the deep conversations with me like some pros stats when they were in college and Im usually just going, Yea that guy is good

Dont like people that make the chips all wet and greasy. Deep in a live MTT i get shipped a big pot of some sticky ass chips - I about stopped the game to make the dealer change em out.

I obviously never say a negative word to any of the guys in these conversations, because that would hurt my bottom line, but on some level, my disdain for the table talk is one of the primary reasons I don't want to be grinding 1/3 and 2/5 'indefinitely'.

This sums up just about perfectly how I feel. Very well put.

Most annoying thing for me about live poker is poor structures in daily MTT's. 10,15, even 20 minute rapidly escalating blind levels combined with a lack of auto shuffle in some tournaments, combined with the natural slower pace of live play when compared to online makes a lot of the daily MTT's hardly worth playing on a regular basis. Especially if you have any sort of drive/commute time and gas price to factor in to your cost of play.

Losing. Other things usually don't bother me that much.

When I play in Vegas however, it does annoy me when I'm in one of the big rooms and a tourist asks if there is a bad beat or any other kind of promotions. When they get told no, they sometimes complain and say things like "But where I normally play you get paid if you hit that hand." The only good thing about these players is they are never good.

4) Players who get up from the table in mixed games EVERY TIME a certain game is played.

3) Players who eat at the table and touch the cards.

2) Dealers who aren't technically proficient and / or don't give any effort.

1) Dealers who square up the pot when someone raises. Or worse yet, inform players how much more it is to call after a raise when no one asked... I'm getting agitated just thinking about it!!!

One that I haven't seen mentioned yet - Tight players who complain about how bad the game is. So its ok for YOU to play tight, but the rest of us are just supposed to dump money to you? Its like they walk into the casino and say, "Where are all the bad players and why arent't they sucking my dick?"

Guys in Vegas who tell you they're a millionaire, made $xx,xxx.xx last week/month, while playing $1/$2 on the min buy in or a $50 tournament and folding everything except premium hands. Not to mention bragging about their Thai/Vietnamese/Korean/Chinese mail order wife like she's a collectible instead of a human being. AKA about 50% of the non regs in any room out here.
