Re: Live Poker Venues in Europe - Collection
Grand Casino Belgrade they have games in dinars which are like 100 dinars = 1 euro so it looks almost like a tournament. Not sure what the rake is. 500/1000 is the biggest game I think and you need like 50grand to get in. The games are wild and loose in general there are foreigners to have money and it's almos the only cash games that I know of in Belgrade.

In both the Uk and Ireland it is illegal to smoke in public places so all restaurants, bars and casinos are non smoking. I think it is the same in France and the Barcelona casino.

Thanks for the report, but dealers who let themselves get abused are UN-professional. Also--who cares about the dealer's looks? WTF? Good dealers don't tell a player off, but they do call the floor who tells the player to leave.

Prague has a very busy poker scene with daily low to mid stakes tournaments (buyins 10$ - 400$) and cg (mostly 0.50$/1$ - 1$/2$ with some high stakes if zou know the right people].
There is many poker clubs/casinos all around Prague, here is a full list
http://www.pokerzive.cz/herni-mista/...&fRegion=praha
http://www.cardcasinoprague.cz/
this is the main poker hub where all the best czech players go. There are tournaments and cg every day, monthly ČPT tourney (czech poker tour) 300$-500$ buyin, regular daily tourneys are usually 50ish $ with 80 -150ppl

Re: Live Poker Venues in Europe - Collection
I like to play a short session of cashgames in every place i go where they have a pokerroom. so most of the places i have only been once. the ones i visit the most have already been described by suschisi i only add my rating there
Switzerland, Grand Casino Baden (in Baden)
see sushisi's post.
Rating: 5/10 Pros: very high class, high standard casino. casino with most action in switzerland and also a lot of fish, especially on weekends Cons: Very expensive in terms of rake, tips, drinks, food, entry fee. uber correctly staff, which is a con for me cause it slows the action, kills action with some harsh rulings. And i just dont like the athmosphere. Some guy at my table made good point when he said "its just a ****ty mentality in here" (obv. translated, prolly doesnt make sense in english...)
Austria, Concord Casino Bregenz (Bregenz)
see sushisi's post
Rating: 8/10 Pros: 24/7 action (which is really rare in europe), badbeat/high hand jackpots, cheap hotel, reasonable prices for food and drinks, good and fast dealers, Cons: not really a nice place to be, floormen arent the best
Austria, Casino Bregenz (Bregenz)
this one is just next to the concord casino. and its pretty much the opposite...
they run 2/4eur nlh and 5/10eur nlh cashgames. few fish, many regs.
Tournaments must be pretty good there but i have never tried out.
Rating: 4/10 Pros: high class Cons: few action, few fish, ****ty chips...
Switzerland, Grand Casino Luzern (in Luzern)
About 1 hour from Zurich, 1 hour from Bern. Located directly at the beautiful lake luzern. as usual in Switzerland, you can get there by car as good as by train.
The run 4 Pokertables. Tourneys on tuesdays and thursdays, sometimes sundays. 100-300 CHF buyin.
Cashgames every night 5/5 nlh and 5/10 nlh. Usually there are 2 tables going. Play starts at 20:30.
so about the same as in Baden, just smaller. minimum buy-in is 100 CHF for 5/5 and 400 for 5/10. Cant tell you the exact rake policy but its pretty much the same as in Baden
i give a 5/10 rating here. Pros: beautiful place, easy going players, mostly regs with some fish. Cons: huge rake, small room, few action
Switzerland, Casino Montreux (in Montreux)
About 1 hour from Geneva, about 3 hours from Zurich
They have 5 tables. they run 10/10 CHF nlh cashgames. run by Barriere Casinos (french company). I played there once on a weekend and all talbes were occupied with about 10 on the waiting list.
i give a 6/10 rating here. Pros: Beautyful place, good action, very fishy Cons: relatively small, big rake, slow dealers (rake calculation takes time..)
Italy, Casino Campione (in Campione, italian enclave in Switzerland)
About 2 hours from Milan, about 30min from Lugano, about 3 hours from Zurich
It's been a while since I played there. Back then (in about 2009) they only ran 10/20 CHF nlh. very few tables. just one table was on back then.
Rating: 3/10 - Pros: casino itself is a impressive and beautiful place to be. Cons: Few Action, horrible chips, bad staff, no lower stakes,
By the way: 10/10 rating would be a place like bellagio

Re: Live Poker Venues in Europe - Collection
Any idea about Montecarlo (Monaco) daily games at 5/10 to 25/50?
And what about near casinos from there in France or Italy?
Thank you

Re: Live Poker Venues in Europe - Collection
France: There are dozens of casinos in France, often in small/medium towns because of a weird law that only allows casinos in thermal cities. Example: Deauville, Evian, Aix-en-Provence. Almost all casinos will be run by either the Partouche or Barrière group.
Now most of these places have poker, and after having been to many all around the country, I can tell you that the pros and cons are roughly the same.
Cons: RAKE! It's 4% uncapped everywhere, and that's just ridiculous. Staff is in general somewhere between below average and terrible. Some dealers are ok but floor is always favoring the locals and coming up with retarded rulings. There is no real poker culture, as it's often the same staff than for pit games - floor is just used to suck up to big tipping whales. Games are extremely slow, because they have to count their huge rake every hand on a little tablet. They also blind you out when you step out of a cash game - lol. Food is overpriced with little to no comps. Regulars are very often colluding in the most obvious manner.
Pros: Players are horrible. LOL standards. No hand-reading, not the slightest SPR consideration, no observation of any tendencies, no nothing. Just a few predictable nits who make a lot of money and think they're pros because they wait for sets and always double up vs TPNK.
