Re: Live PLO Games: Master List

I just called Commerce and some guy there told me that they are running a 3/6 and a 4/8 plo game there every day! Is this correct?

Probably not. Most likely (almost certainly) limit O8.

Re: Live PLO Games: Master List

3-6 and 4-8 would be very odd blind structures for a big bet game, but in a place where they play $1-2 with $1 chips I suppose nothing should surprise me.

You mean NOTHING but $1 chips? LOL, I guess it makes it look more tournament-esque, sliding forward multiple stacks of chips. Big bet games run so much smoother and much better when large denomination chips are used.

Yeah, this was mentioned on some thread on here yesterday about Hollywood Park or something. Sounds crazy to me, but I don't play in CA.

Re: Live PLO Games: Master List

Commerce has been running a 5/5 PLO game with $500-$1500 buyin. I know the game has been going at least the last two nights this weekend. Friday night the game ran until at least 2 am, although we played HU for about an hour until new players sat down. Saturday night at 1am the game was full with 8 names on the list.

Anyone have an update on how often this game actually goes? I have two conflicting sources of second and third hand information. One source indicates it only goes during the bigger tournaments and the other indicates it is going far more often with a mixture of tough and not so competent players.

It's being put down next to the NL holdem games with twice the blind size and the same buy-in spread so it should have a shot done right.

Re: Live PLO Games: Master List

I saw an article in a poker magazine that a $2/$5 is being spread at Lucky Chances in Colma (south of San Francisco) on Sundays. Has anyone play in that game? If so, please provide a little more details.

Borgata has been the only room in A.C. running PLO. Is there any other casinos running 1-2 PLO?

Ocean's 11 Casino, Oceanside (San Diego)

The game that has been going consistently every Friday night is 2/2 PLO. Buy-in $100-$400. It plays with $2 chips and $10 chips. no rounding for raises so initial open raise is to $8 max. Stacks can get pretty deep, with several players playing $1200 or more. Come on down Friday nights, or call first and put your name on the list.

Re: Live PLO Games: Master List

i think it may have been mentioned in this and other threads.

but is there no way to come up with a reasonable way to make the game easy to deal and say 70% of the way to pot limit....... i don't know exactly what spread limit means, but i presume larger betting units for later rounds. and perhaps have some limit on the pot vs. what's already there. i.e. very little in pot, you can go 50 bb's in on river. but i don't think small pots will be a problem if omaha takes off.

limit just seems too limited.

I havent played but im a LC reg and i've railed the game. Seems to be getting more popular as i've seen it running more than just Sundays. I believe the blinds are $2/$3 but i frequently see it upped to $5/$10 because omaha players like to gambol. Game looks relatively soft although i've seen a few guys who looked like they knew what they were doing.

Re: Live PLO Games: Master List

I have been to both Foxwoods and Mohegan and seen PLO either on the interest list or a 1/2 game running. If you get the floor to put up a list you will get people to join, whether they want to run a 1/2 table shorthanded is up to them.

Edit: You probably have the best chance at foxwoods during major WPT events
