Kicked out For Playing Badly?
Let's find out if anyone has ever seen something similar to what I experienced at the Grand Victoria Casino in Elgin Illinois.
2:00 am, goofy, mid fiftiesh guy sits down and starts going on and on about how he just won 2K playing slots. He shows the Cash. Shows the Slot club t-shirt he got from the casino.
He is obviously somewhat touched in the head, maybe slightly drunk not sure.
He proceeds to play 92 or his whole buy in preflop, runs into aces, rebuys for 200.
I get T9 against him and flop top pair, we get it all in on the flop, he table 25 for no pair no draw, loses, says nice hand.
Very next hand, he open raises and I just push it all in with 99, he snap calls and show 74. Stacked again.
Rebuys, raises again, and I swear to God I just go all in with 2 Jacks, he proudly yells out 6 high????????? and i have taken another two dollars from him.
He buys again, now he proceeds to call an all in on the river with, u guessed it no pair something like seven high. 1K of his slot win now distributed to a lucky few of us.
Of course the young hot shots can't stop laughing, calling over to other table to come see what this "moron is doing". I am trtying toget them to stop, because I want some of the rest of his SLot money.
The Manager now comes over with security and gives him a 24 hour ban and has him removed from the game, for get this, "his own good".
Could you imagine a pit boss cutting off a guy who is blowing his house and kids college fund "for his own good"? Am I just cynical, or was this boss protecting him from losing back the rest of the slot score before they could win it back?
Has anyone ever seen someone banned for playing bad.
Not one part of this story is an exageration, I am sure somegrand Vic regs will chime in. Unbelievable.

Re: Kicked out For Playing Badly?
Playing bad is fine and plenty of guys come in and donate money, but yes if someone is losing all the money they have to their name and floor staff knows it then they should kick them out.
If you think otherwise it's because you're a scumbag.
If someone looks distraught and is losing more money they you think they could ever afford then floor should stop them.
Whether they are in the pokerroom or elsewhere.

Re: Kicked out For Playing Badly?
this guy will blow his money somewhere anyways, i dont see why the pit boss would toss him. seems pointless, whether the guy blows his money here or elsewhere it is gonna go into some1 else's hands.
Although the pit boss thought he was doing a good deed, he didn't realize that he was actually just going to annoy part of his main revenue base (regs). seems -ev all around.

Ok, I guess I am a scumbag. I just wish when i lost 27k at Horshoe after going on megatilt because of some life issues, the 21 manager would have been kind enough to stop me for my own good, like maybe when I was stuck 13k or something.
Oh wait, the house was winning the money then, not the customers. My bad.

I hate to tell you, but if they are going to start throwing out the customers who are going to eventually get broke, they aren't going to have any games left.

Re: Kicked out For Playing Badly?
I lost my whole bankroll/ life roll playing poker in a casino once. No one stopped me even though I was playing like a retard at stakes above my roll.
Why should they stop this guy just because he was playing bad? Most everyone plays low stakes live is incomprehensibly bad. Why don't they stop them? Obviously this was not altruistic on the casino's part. They just wanted him back in the pits with the money he won. I think it's well within their rights to do this, but to pretend it was for his own good is just ridiculous. It was for their bottom line.

Re: Kicked out For Playing Badly?
I don't think you guys are making a distinction between someone losing a lot of money and someone losing a lot of money who is visibly upset and floor knows is in over their head.
Its hard to have that knowledge about a random person, but if the floor does then yes they should have a talk with the person.
Its might not be followed, but isn't this policy in the pit?
If floor makes an effort to stop this guy don't you think he had good reason.
The floor almost never gets involved in anything.
If we can stop them why would we allow it?
I'm not being righteous and neither is the floor. This is bad for everyone involved.
