QFT.

I sometimes keep a $1 chip from underground games if they're decent chips.

Re: how many poker rooms have you played in?

Don't have a huge number but have played in several states across the midwest and one overseas. Will probably hit Charleston and other WV casinos soon and Vegas is planned for September so I should have a lot longer list before too long.

Indiana: Argosy / Hollywood, Grand Vic, Belterra, Caesars / Horseshoe
Missouri: Ameristar St Charles
Mississippi: Sam's Town Tunica, Horseshoe Tunica
Iowa: Mesqwaki
South Dakota: some room in deadwood forget the name
North Dakota: 4 bears casino
Minnesota: Canterbury
Oklahoma: Creek Tulsa, Winstar
London UK: Casino at the Empire

considering how large the US is, I don't find that very surprising. I was 38 before I ever even left the continent. Even then, I only went to china for business and my peers and I decided to go to Macau for a few hours.

Not to mention that chances are pretty slim that if I ever went on vacation with the wife and/or family overseas I don't think A) she'd want me to spend several of those hours playing poker or B) that I'd want to anyway.

Re: how many poker rooms have you played in?

I travel a TON for work (week in europe this month, Atlanta this weekend, 3 weeks in Japan next month), and like to play recreationally whenever I can. Mostly 4/8LHE or whatever is close to that. I started doing the $1 chip thing about 5 years ago, so here's my rough list (grouped geographically). I've had FUN in ever place listed.

Vegas:
Belagio
Luxor
Wynn
Mandalay Bay
MGM

LA:
Commerce
Hustler

Atlantic City:
Tropicana
Taj
Showboat
Trump Marina

Foxwoods

Wheeling Island, West Virgina
Mountaineer, West Virginia
Greektown, Detroit (1st casino poker: 1-5 Stud)

Rock Island Casino, IL
Potawatomi, Milwaukee
Harrahs, Kansas City
Ameristar, Kansas City
Argosy, St. Louis
Ameristar, St. Louis

Harrah's, New Orleans
Cypress Bayou Casino, Charenton, LA
Imperial Palace, Biloxi

Creek Nation, Tulsa, OK (kept 3-6 game going ALL night)

Hard Rock, Tampa, FL
Hard Rock, Hollywood, FL

River Cree, Edmonton, AB
Elbow River, Edmonton (amusing details here)
Casino Regina, Sascatchewon
Edgewater Casino, Vancouver

Conrad, Brisbane, AUS
Crown, Melbourne, AUS

Gala Casino, Dundee Scotland (SNG's to beat jet lag after flying from Sydney)

Someplace in Riga, Latvia (I think)

I'm sure I'm missing a couple. I have a £1 chip marked Stakis Casinos, but not sure where from. Maybe that place in eastern Europe where I screwed up the currency conversion and actually lost 3x what I thought. Oops. Also played a couple hours on a cruise ship PokerTek table once. Trying to play more when overseas - been to Amsterdam several times, but never played there (better things to do ldo).

Am I a degen yet? Dunno. Roughly break-even over the last few years, much better value than pouring expensive booze down my neck was. When I settle down and get some free time, I'd like to really apply myself and see if I can actually get good at this game.

Re: how many poker rooms have you played in?

I would guess that I've played poker in about 40 different casinos and a half dozen underground clubs since I started playing in 1989....mostly in alberta and vegas but as far away as michigan and AC. Some good, some bad and some just downright dodgey.
