Re: Hard Rock Las Vegas "Trash Talkin' Tuesdays"

I predict this game will end come to a bad end. It will be just like kids playing with sharp objects, it's all in fun until someone loses an eye.

PS. Just because Hardrock decides to have a trash talking game, that doen't transform B&M into a trash talking forum.

PSS. I have a dealer friend that has already emailed their poker room manager offering to pay his own way to Vegas and deal this game for free.

Maybe its me but this really seems like a desperate attempt to get traffic in an otherwise pretty dead room.

i don't know if i'd call it desperate, in all fairness i believe whoever came up with this thinks it's actually a good idea and most likely also thinks that trash talking is "part of the game" and should be embraced.

i'd like to see a poker room give people money for being polite. $1/hr if you're an ass, $1.50/hr if you're a nice person. one snarky comment and the dealer gets to keep your 50 cents for that hour. i bet you that would work a lot better than this crappy promotion will.

Practically, you're right. Idealistically, people should know better than to bring their girlfriends to sweat them at such a game.

It took 3 of us to pull him away from climbing over the bar after her LOL. Yes, he would have hit a woman that insulted his mother.
Your friend is pretty retarded, but still a great example of why this game isn't such a good idea.

Re: Hard Rock Las Vegas "Trash Talkin' Tuesdays"

The game on Tuesday was a complete success. No problems at all. A bunch of full games. Everyone respected the rules. We included this in the updated rules:

Bad sportsmanship expected!
(Please limit trash talking to how horrible your opponents play, speak and dress,
but PLEASE LEAVE OUT race, religion, mother, girlfriend, sister, threats etc.)

By 4am, the main game enjoyed about $8000 average stack.

I would gladly throw the 50 cents directly at your face every hour if it meant I could behave as I please.

Finally a game where you don't have to worry about uptight dicks who want to throw punches because you waited 4 seconds to turn over your second pair FTW.

EDIT: Upon further reading...no mother jokes seriously? Whats the point?

Please note that "Trash Talking" should be limited to the POKER LOUNGE, not the casino pit, even if you see Phil Ivey throwing dice...

Re: Hard Rock Las Vegas "Trash Talkin' Tuesdays"

trash talking games do not extend to the B&M forum or this thread. if we have to continue to delete posts the thread, and in turn any ability for the regulars to promote the game, will be lost.

Keep it clean guys, the B&M forum FAQ still applies.

Hey sanford are you ever gonna try this out at a 1/2 table? Maybe designate a special table for it...
