Going to Ho Chunk Wisconsin Dells

Going next week. What stakes (mon-thursday) do they offer in Limit HE.

Re: Going to Ho Chunk Wisconsin Dells

They recently renovated the poker room (again). Now its just a space in the middle of the casino with no walls, its about 10 tables. They usually just have a single 1/2 nl game going...

Don't know during the week, but my guess is that a 2/4 or a 3/6 limit game is what they have (if any). I know that during the week some regs get together for a 6/12 round/round game (limit HE/O8)

6/12 actually runs Saturday. Thurs was the 5/10 Limit game, but the BBJ has killed it. 4/8 limit ran a couple weeks ago, and was juicy while it lasted. Those regulars prefer a shot at the jackpot. The Thursday $50 tourney is over. Mgmt decided to run a $80+ 10+ 10 instead.

Re: Going to Ho Chunk Wisconsin Dells

bump.

i'll be headed here the weekend of Dec. 16th for my buddy's bachelor party (being held at Devil's Head). i don't snowboard, and neither do about 10 other guys, so this seems like the perfect alternative.

looks like the BBJ is around $70k, which would compensate for all the hookers & blow going around our tour bus that we're taking up there from chicago.

i would imagine the games are of avg. player quality? nothing out of the ordinary considering the limits? any feedback would be appreciated...gratsi!

Be aware their BBJ rakes $1 for any flop, even if there is $5 in the pot. The house will also take $0.50 on every $5 as well up to $4, so make the most out of the pots you play. It's easily beatable in the evenings. More rocks during the day.

So, what you are saying is that there is absolutely no reason for anyone to ever travel to play there, right?

Thursday tourney started at 6pm last time I played. Could last til midnight if you play for the win/$$$. I'd rather play at Ho Chunk vs Dejope where you risk collusion at the e-tables.

Re: Going to Ho Chunk Wisconsin Dells

I'm going to be with a bunch of degen's that will want to play table games too, so I figure this will be the best spot.

Is the highest limit game they have going 3/6??? I don't play poker drunk that often, but when I do, I prefer LHE :P

Highest limit holdem will be 3/6, with the exception of the 6/12 round by round on saturdays. 1/2nl goes everyday, games are ok. The last 3 fridays, there has been a 2/5 plo game.

awesome...thanks for the heads up! i'm guessing i'll just splash around in the 3/6 or 1/2 nl then, depending whatever will be going on the Saturday morning when i'm there.

is it a $200 max buy-in for the 1/2? or do they make it [somewhat] deeper by going up to $300? table stakes would be fun!

$100-300 for the 1/2. $200-500 for the plo, and the random 2/5nlhe that pops up once a month or so

Re: Going to Ho Chunk Wisconsin Dells

How frequently do they run the limit 3/6 and do they ever get a 5/10 running?
