Re: Eating at the casino vs. eating outside
eating junk food does make you more tired, but I don't know if I would be too concerned about dogs.
However, take the extra break OP cuz you can also use a break to keep your decisions at 100% just like dealers take regular breaks so they don't make mistakes.

Re: Eating at the casino vs. eating outside
Eating at the table is an art. Takes time to perfect it, but I also really like taking a break and going to get something I want to eat. Most of the time I just don't want to eat the casino food, or I don't like the table that much, or I feel like I actually need a break from the game. If I feel like that tho... I usually don't come back I just go home.

Eating at the table should be done with one hand. One to eat, one to play, so that you're never touching your chips before your food. It's just like washing your hands _before_ walking to the urinal, casino chips are incredibly dirty.

Re: Eating at the casino vs. eating outside
personally I think eating at the table is gross and a bit rude. I like to be undisturbed and at peace when Im eating, Not handling dirty chips and cards while scarfing down a hoagie chewing in people faces.
Some people do it, I dont mind if you do it but its just me, I like to include my meal with a break and get the chip shuffle sound out of my head for a minute. give myself a chance to use the bathroom and wash my hands.

THIS.
People where I play often eat buffalo wings at the table. They suck the meat and sauce off the bones, making disgusting noises. Then they lick the sauce off their fingers -- all the while handling the chips and cards. It's enough to make me want to leave the table. If they're right next to me, I'll stand up and walk away between hands.
Besides, hot dogs all the time? What's the -EV from the hands you'll miss due to an early death?

Re: Eating at the casino vs. eating outside
Hmmm, taking a good walk and junk food vs. no walk and better food. Not sure.
What I'd do is take a long walk in the casino (if that is possible) to get some decent food like a chef salad or similar, then walk it back to the table and eat there.
Anyway, it's probably better to walk and eat more often. Get up (maybe miss 1 or 2 EP hands), come back with a juice, play, get back up and come back with a piece of fruit, play, get back up and come back with a yogurt and a piece of candy or some little treat, play, etc. Keep doing that over 10 hours and you'll be pretty well off.

Is this a level?
Eating anything super heavy will cause an immediate drop in energy as all the blood rushes to your stomach to deal with crap you just threw into your system.
however, if you eat something healthy and light, that doesn't happen.
Of course, if you eat crap all the time, you probably forgot what it feels like to eat something healthy and light.

Re: Eating at the casino vs. eating outside
People who eat food at the poker table are a little disgusting, though if you use silverware it's not so bad. People who eat wet or wettish food with their fingers (fries count) are extra disgusting.
If you have to wipe your fingers with a napkin before handling your cards and chips, understand this: you can't possible get all the grease off that way, you need soap and hot water to do that. You're getting enough of the visible grease off that no one shoots you, that's all. (You should still be shot, btw, or at least told to go wash your hands, child).
But pigs gonna pig (gulp gulp, slurp slurp, drool drool, burp) and no thread on 2+2 is going to stop that (fatties gonna fat).
The 30 minute break and walk is +EV in its own right, though. You should do that periodically even if it isn't to eat. I do that when someone next to me starts eating.
