I like the concept, and I believe it has helped keep Bally's poker room in business. Otherwise, I believe it would have ended up going the way of Hilton and Resorts. People go there because they believe could actually walk away with something. Odds of being at a BBJ hit table are slim, but the odds of being in the same room when a BBJ hits are better.
This concept would totally fail from a logistics standpoint in a larger room, such as Borgata or Trump Taj. However, I believe these smaller 20-table rooms would benefit from having a room-shared BBJ jackpot. If I ran Harrah's, I would have definately done this at Showboat by now, and eventually at Caesars and Harrah's.
