Re: Best Poker Dealing School In/Near Hollywood,FL
Of course if you go to a school, you want to go to the best one available.
A couple of years ago, on another forum, someone in Florida spoke of going to school. He spent $1,100 and graduated from the class. He then found out that there were no openings anywhere close to where he lived.
Did he attend a high quality school? Probably, but it didn't matter since he failed to do his homework first.
The best advice offered here is to pick the casino or casinos you want to work in, get to know dealers and floors, make friends, play some poker there, be friendly. Remember, you are always interviewing for your next job.
After a few visits, let them know you want to be a dealer, ask them the best route to take. If you do it right, you should get heads up notice about openings coming up.
If the casino training their own people, great. If they don't, your new friends will be able to make some recommendations about the best schools to consider.
