oh, ok, i thought you were saying that in general, coaching for live poker sucks because it only helps you for 10 hands (or something else that made no sense)

a) Raymer charges $600/hour according to his website.
b) It sounds like his live training consists of answering questions for at least two hours.

Oh I understood what you and ortiz were saying....I thought we had a polite conversation where I stated my point, you said yours, then I said I disagree....People can have opposing points in sports, especially in one as complex and beautiful as baseball. I didn't realize you were so soft you had to make a giant post about it. You can think in the batter box for the 15 seconds as mlb is requesting, without cruising all around and grabbing your nuts.
Also are today's players smarter and better thinkers to the point that games last another 40 more minutes that in the 50's? I dont think so.

Baseball is a thinking game, as is poker, but tanking 45 seconds between every pitch is excessive and killing the sport I love.

I'm pretty sure this is a first - a player from a brick & mortar game barging into the breakroom to defend what was said on the table. Obviously I'm going to side with YTF here. And if players are going to come into the breakroom the least they could do is bring donuts or something.

Be glad you didn't have to watch Nomar or Jeff Hargrove, who's nickname was the human rain delay.

Having said that, decades earlier if David Ortiz took a stroll after a pitch a Mr Bob Gibson (and others) would be playing chin music to him on the next.

The fifty's and before the game was just not as commercial, so they'd run in and run out and be ready to play.

It's the evolution of the game, and the money involved. The best bet for my money now, and it's not nearly my favorite sport is playoff hockey. Those guys play all out for 2 months straight.

YTF is experiencing my biggest fear.

Agree with Bolt though. Bring donuts.

1. "I disagree," would have been a phrase that indicated to me that you heard a word I said. So would your thoughts about Ortiz' specific comments, which I had introduced to the conversation. Instead, you just repeated your original thoughts about adjusting equipment, as if I hadn't introduced any new information into the discussion.

2. I make giant posts about lots of things. Didn't know that made me soft.

3. The only part of your recollection that I agree with, is that we were both polite.

It was a condensing post and you seemed upset....Whatever we will disagree. I still think you can think about upcoming pitches while staying in the batter box for 15 seconds. I didn't realize I had not specifically made my point clear as I was also engaging the player next to me about the wolves.... I heard what you said.

See you again I am sure. no hard feelings.

I've watched people buy in with wads of crumpled singles before, first time I've seen someone include 10 dimes along with their singles to make minimum buy in at this 1/2 table.

Sad and funny at the same time.

Yes! I just have to remember where I put it because it's been so long since I've used it.

Haha that's begging for a joke infraction but not sure you'd find it funny with everything going on right now.

I used to see the crumpled $5-$20 buy-in at the Taj 2/4 games when I first started playing live. It was usually people who would do it continuously and automatically, like a human ATM. I thought to myself, "If they're willing to lose $200, why aren't they putting it all on the table at once?" I was so naive.

It looks like a telescoping attachment for an air compressor that would be used to fill tires.

I'm actually surprised I've never seen anything like it in real life. Could be a back-saver.

Anyway, this isn't exactly good, not that I have been pepperd

03-09-2015 , 12:05 PM
Hah I remember when that happened and all the memes that came from it.
