Re: Allowing Pa Dealers to gamble in state...please read

Here is the latest from PGCB This is an e-mail I received from Susan Yocum of PGCB
"As you may know, our focus has been on meeting the statutory deadline of 2 years to complete the transition of table game regulations from temporary to final-form, a process that will be ending in April. Once we are done with table games we will address the two other proposed rulemakings currently outstanding 125-144 and 125-156. Until that time, all individuals licensed, permitted or registered with the Board are not permitted to wager in any licensed facility in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. This prohibition was in place long before table games were implemented. I know many dealers are anxious for the Board to amend the wagering restrictions and once the table game regulations are complete, the Board will evaluate final-form rulemaking 125-144. At this point, however, I can’t give you a definitive date as to when the Board will take action on any changes to wagering restrictions."

How ridiculous can this get... I was hoping it would be cleared up before the WTP happened at Parx. So much for that, probably.

Yeah my opinion based on the sloth like speed the PGCB gets things done. Ive played in 5 PA poker rooms and talked to poker personnel in all of them and all of their biggest complaints were basically how difficult it is to get things done in a timely manner because of the PGCB. I just cant see them changing this specific rule in th enear future. Even though it would obviously generate more revenue for the casinos.

The memo said effective immediately and it was dated a couple days ago. As soon as I scrape together a few bucks, gonna hit Parx and see what all the fuss is about!

Come up and see us at Sands, BBJ is over $500,000!

Lots of rumors were flying today about the big news, and it was unclear whether suits are now permitted to gamble. Some said they weren't, but then apparently a floorman from Mt Airy was spotted in the poker room. Any idea?

Re: Allowing Pa Dealers to gamble in state...please read

I know dealers from different casinos who now work where I currently am. They said that the dealers from their previous casino were there and yes, a floor man too apparently was there. Not quite sure if they were allowed to or not. Been hearing rumors that this will go public friday to be official so i am going to wait just to be sure. if the rumor is true G1's i hear are aloud but not 100% sure about the G2's or higher. waiting for the official green light on being able to play. not worth losing my job over it. but if all is true, cya soon! let me know if anyone finds anything official (PGCB or any other credited sites/people/emails ect.) and POST POST POST

thanks

Had to do some serious digging to find the video of the latest PGCB board meeting on their website (link wasn't posted where it should have been), but the two and a half minutes of glory can be found at 01:44:10.

Many thanks to Susan Yocum for getting this done.
