Why do recreational players play regular tables? Why do recreational players play regular tables?

I see a recreational player as a person who wants to hop into the said activity and experience some more interesting spots. Doesn't reduced action and no option to skip boring hands make the recreational player less interested to continue pursuing an interesting hand that may or may not come? I am biased and don't think I'll play regular tables at low limits when there's so much action on zoom but I am honestly interested to hear what the potential merits as in entertainment value are and how are they strong enough to outweigh the fast forward variant. I am only interested in the recreational player, not the regular who I can understand why he chooses to play those games.

The recreational player probably doesn't even know what zoom fast poker is+ the entertainment for him is to crush soul and to outplay his opponents and for that he needs to observe you not to change players every hand

Do you remember the first time you went from 1 table to like 4 or more? That's why. 2 tables is like brain surgery to a new player and fast fold poker is like trying to read the a sentence on the side of 200 mph race car. They just can't keep up and their brain isnt trained for it yet.

Y'all are just wrong. You act like the recreational player is an idiot. There are a lot of recreational players who multi-table and probably a bunch who play zoom, zone, or whatever their site calls it. Others would rather only play one table at a time and if they find that relaxing and entertaining, good for them.

As a recreational player, I usually have two to three tables open if I'm playing cash. Those are 6-max tables and are usually plenty fast. If I'm in tourneys, I prefer to only be in two at a time because I take notes on every hand I play (as a way to keep me focused and in the zone). I would love to play zoom-like poker but it's not available as PLO on Bovada. Well, it's available but never runs.

Recreational doesn't equal stupid or slow (or losing).

Nobody said that recreational player are idiots. Stupid-in relation with the game just as I am stupid if you put me in front if a jetfighter aircraft and I start looking for the damn keys or something. Never as a person.
The intention of this thread as I see it was a question regarding why a recreational player as novice who basically needs action choose regulars tables as oppose to fast tables which in itself are more action based. My thoughts were that those tables even if they provide action nonstop are not a 100% liked by all because poker if fun if you developed reads and try to exploit your opponent and even a novice feels that. Not ti say that I am a pro or had huge success with this game...
Have fun recreational means less informed not less of a person

Well this could be the problem. Not all recreational players are the same, and we play the game for a variety of different reasons. Some people even play for different reasons at different times. So depending on the motivation, some may be drawn to the zoom tables and some may prefer to play a single regular table.

For instance, I don't play just to be in pots and get into interesting spots. I enjoy the challenge and appreciate the patience that's needed. To constantly jump tables would mean that I'm not playing the game the way that I know it, and so that's a different game that I don't enjoy as much.
