After a few days of longer online poker hours I've become unsettlingly complacent with the game. I'm playing longer now than I'm used to in the past, but it all seems unreal and almost boring, dare I say depressing.

This is starting to affect my game in a negative way. I'm thinking of taking a methodological approach and chopping up the sessions and build stamina, as well as getting online poker buddies/support network.

Anyone went through the same?

What suggestions do you have to I keep my interest and alertness level up for longer play?

cut back to your normal hours. slowly build up to longer sessions each session (maybe 5-10 minutes longer per session) until you feel comfortable and happy playing. you have to want to play poker to be successful at it. also take a few days off. that always helps.

Take a few days off and maybe read a new book on poker you haven't read but wanted to. It keeps things fresh for me and you'll probably pick up a few things at least you could use.
