Yeah I dont get that. Going through life with nothing is a waste, okay but so is going through life and doing anything because you die at the end of it.

I guess I need you to define what you mean when you say waste? I take it you are comparing a life doing nothing and wanting nothing to a life that does something and therefore is not a waste.

But in order for it to be wasteful one needs to assign a value to whatever that something you are comparing it to.

Why is life better than no life? For me they both hold the same value because in the end nothing I do matters.

Not sure what you mean when you say perfect.

As in, most of your needs and many of your wants are met and you have few (if any) problems to deal with.

Thats because life is easy when you take a systematic approach, need money get job, need food, buy food, need shelter get house.

Notice I say need and not want, because I'm a slave to my own body and have been conditioned since birth to eat, sleep and it has been drummed into me to "work hard", coerced by society by forceful peer pressure to do the "right thing" to be a man, the burden of being obligated to obey societys will when I agreed to nothing. Merely brainwashed and beaten into submission. I cannot leave, I must on some level interact with these people to get the things I need which allows my body to survive which it so desperately craves.

I'm merely an empty vessel, robotic in nature to think things through, its my greatest gift and my greatest downfall. To look into the future and see nothing but yet plan each waking minute on how to get there. To prolong the agony of death because life is a slow suicide.

What is it about life thats so great that I'm missing out on? Sex? Money? Good food? Family? Friends? Been there and got the tee shirt, not going back.

I have seen and touched what life has to offer, it has left a bad taste in my mouth. I have done a lot for the amount of money I made during my time here and I want no more part of it. It is not worth the effort.

You probably thought my first response was a joke, but really, at least read the wikipedia on Four Noble Truths.
