Small tilt problem - timeouts, misclicks, other computer related mishaps

I noticed I was having this problem when I started to play on Ongame several months ago. The software was total shiet. It had some nice feature, but was very laggy and did not have some of the software support I was looking for. I noticed that when I would start to mass time out because of the lag, that it would give me strong feelings of tilt; warm feeling inside, prickly feelings in my fingers, I swear at the computer (I'm a cusser, so I don't know to read much into this or not), and generally make me mad.

I'm back on merge for a bit, and having similar issues. It is not usually a problem, but sometimes I am fiddling with skype or trying to reg tables and the same sort of thing happens. I miss a table, try to click the button, it times out, pops up a message, I try to unclick the sitout, then another table pops up with sit out, and it goes like this for 10 or so seconds timing out on 3-7 tables (I'm playing between 12 and 20 tables atm). I get the warm feeling inside, cussing at the computer, and am angry about sitting out.

I don't even really mind too much when someone owns me, or I lose flips. I don't like losing money as much as the next person, but I would say it bothers me a little less than other people if I were to guess. When the cards flip over, and the flop/turn/river comes, I always cheer for the other guy. I feel a bit of satisfaction when he gets there, cause the cards I called hit. When I win the flip, I feel satisfaction because I won the flip.

I have read a few different tilt books and I know that I should try to inject logic when I am timing out. Today I told myself "Click your buttons Mike!" trying not to dwell on my computer related difficulties. Obviously I should probably not try to do any messaging while I play, I guess this could fix some of it.

Any suggestions? Is this just normal fight or flight, or should I be looking at deeper issues?

tl;dr/TYIA

Re: Small tilt problem - timeouts, misclicks, other computer related mishaps

i had some issues on this too and imo its totally ok to feel frustrated because ur concentrated and focused on doing specified task the best u can and suddenly get disturbed by X or Y outside variables.

some of them may be even not recognized as tilt because ur comfortable doing those (like aim/ skype/ goggling) but if u see tilt as anything that can take ur focus away when ur performing or trying to perform at peak, u have to assume that anything else may disturb.

now this is also debatable, cause if ur doing long sessions or not mass tabling it might be untilting to even review or have chat and in some way slow down ur pace for longer resistance.

as for the main issue, like miss-clicks, software, computer, internet, u'll just have to work them out the best way u can, like usuals miss-clicks are due to too many tables or tasks, computer issues can also be solved, the software that aint much to do about it but i guess lowering tables will also make it work better, sux when u can handle more, but still less might give better software stability and game overview.

in general id say its not a deep issue atm, but like all new business they have to adapt and seek for the best way to deal with problems and rise above competition, and the way they do it is going to determine their future success. find the way that works best for u and make it happen
