No wonder poker is dying.

But I still have hope. Will be riding the bike to Vegas for the opening of the WSOP cash games and DSE!! Table selection uberalle.
LOL. So your logic is: bad player can't win anymore = poker is dying? LOLcopterz. Poker has become a serious sport. If you suck at it, don't expect to win, have a few drinks, have fun, blow a few hundos and go home happy. O and don't play limit with 90 year olds. They're not much fun (not that limit is fun).

Nice anecdote, but otherwise completely incorrect regarding poker. I would venture that about 15-20% of the fish I play are new to the game. Mines anecdotal too, but at least its several hundred players.

No. If you have an obsessive and complusive nature, poker will eventuallly become a nightmare. It's just too stimulating, too much room for delusion/deception. To the precise extent that we subject ourselves to it's grasp do we squander the hours that might have been worthwhile.

Once players start lying to themselves there is no chance of success.

I personally don't play online so I can't really judge the likelihood of this claim. But turning $10 into $700 in 40 hours of play max... does sound a bit off.

Yes, poker was fun back in the Chris Moneymaker Era of Poker.

making $17 an hour off of $10 is not impossible at low stakes but you definitely cant do it every time with $10 but a good player could do it a decent % of the time

Poker was fun long before that. Poker is still fun today.

To me it's simple. You either love the game or you don't. And it's not about winning or losing. I know people who are losers, yet they play every day because they love it. Some people love bird watching and others stamp collecting. And others love poker. Why? Who knows. Different things trigger "fun" in people's brains.

And if you don't love it or don't love it "anymore" or whatever then please stop whining and QUIT.

you regularly talk about how playing under rolled and not using proper BRM is the quickest way to busto land, yet here you are saying you could easily turn $10 playing $1.50 games (6 buy ins) into $700 within 4o hours tops, can you explain?

I dont wanna be rude but you sound like a cry baby.

There are thousands of people who wants what you got. The skills and talent to make money in poker.

If you dont enjoy it then stop playing for cash and get back to freerolls.

I dont know what to say .

Maybe it's just me but i've never once thought about poker as "fun". NLHE is about as perfectly a cutthroat form of competition that can be devised and i'm as serious at all times as possible when dealing with anything to do with poker.

M.O.N.E.Y is the sole reason for doing all this. "Fun" never enters the picture.

Competition is fun for people like me and a huge part of why I do this.

For you.

For me my reasons for playing are:

1. Love
2. Ambition
3. Competition
4. Fun

Do you see money on the list?

There are easier ways to make money bro. If you're in it for money you're in the wrong biz. Any small biz owner whale probably has more money than you will ever have.
