If I had only made $600 profit I would have thrown up, and also probably quit. Hell, I got a coach after the $5k year because I was so disgusted with my results. And it made a huge difference.
haha well it sounds like your first deposit was WAY more than $100 which means obviously you can play higher stakes and win more money in a year.
it doesn't look like alot of money but for microstakes i was legit crushing. i grinded that up 3tabling NL10 and then eventually NL25 when i hit $500 roll.
so that's 40 buy ins at NL10 plus 8buy ins for NL25 which is pretty damn solid for my first year ever playing.
it has nothing to do with skill but more that i'm just sick and tired of dedicating sooooooo much of my free time to this game. my social life for example, turned basically non-existent last year because i was always grinding the fishy weekend games rather than going out. at first it was fun but after a year the grind has just gotten old.
so it's like my whole routine was just my normal job + poker in my free time. i wanted to reach NL200+ eventually and make some LEGIT cash but it's just not worth the sacrifice anymore. and even if i achieve those goals i don't think i WOULD be happy...cuz my whole life would still be work + poker.
