I'm guessing you're talking live? Online I play some people who say things that would convince most people that they're crazy. Like, hoping you get cancer, or die etc. But that's just the disconnect people make when they're online.

I'd also like to hear some "good" experiences with sociopaths at the poker table lol.

Some douchbag from St. Louis Missouri threatened my life I think. Told me he was "gonna wet me up" playing at the Golden Nugget. I know he's from St. Louis Missouri because he felt it important to remind me of that several times.

I played with this kid my age who was so methamphetamined he wouldn't stop talking and was constantly bumping my elbow and stuff. he said he's been up for 3 days and had been making $300 per day I guess that was enough to support his drug habit.

There was a guy at my table once who was very calm and telling funny stories and making everyone laugh. Seemed to really enjoy gambooling. Was talking alot about himself and everyone seemed interested. Probably a sociopath.

one time i was sitting between two guys in a pot. on the river, the guy on the button open jammed. the guy first to act was like WTF, and the dealer said it was binding if he elected to check. so he check folded and the button showed a bluff. he asked the button why he did that, and he responded, "because i had to!"

I've seen a dealer get shot in the gut at a poker game before. Just BAM right across the felt.

Speaking from my own past experience too, dealer can be a scary ass job sometimes. You have people who aren't all right there in the head treating you like their best friend one minute and wishing death upon you the next minute really often.

You seriously can't just say you saw someone get shot and not tell the story.

Here's one. Me, 4 years ago sitting at Planet Hollywood 1/2 NL, crazy Asian lady screaming in a chimp like manner every time she won a pot. Constantly open raising $75+ with anything during the one hour I was at the table. She has about $1200 in front of her.

She's first to act, opens for $90, the table loudly groans. Gets to me, I raise to $215 (now have around 400 behind). She comes over top of me All in, I call with QQ. Pot is now at around $1300 and she slams over A4 like it's AA, obviously either misread her hand or she was just old and senile . My queens hold up, she screams bloody murder and spits in my direction clean across the table and it hits the player next to me. Security is called on her while the player next to me is livid. She acts like she speaks no English when security shows up. The player wants her arrested for assault, she keeps screaming and at this point has knocked over her chips all over the table. I calmly rack up and want to leave but they made me answer questions to the man's statement against the woman. Her husband comes in with an Asian casino host and they are arguing with everyone in a mix of Chinese and broken English. She was never arrested, the casino took 45 minutes to review cameras to give her the chips that she splashed back and escorted her out.

Almost 90 minutes later I could finally leave. Me, being a 28 year old black guy at the time who at the time was sporting the James Harden Mohawk and beard, would have been publicly executed by everyone on sight or sent directly to jail after a swift ass whipping if I had spit in her face after a pot.

I used to come across the same one once a week at the table. I didn't know until later what he was.

Very strange and very awesome experience. He functioned sort of like a drone. He gets a good hand, bets, raises, whatever all the while talking with another player about anything at his end of the table.

It was incredible to me how anyone could separate themselves from the game like that. Nothing fazed him, win or lose. It made other players nervous because he was so much an oddity.

Because we talked more than he did with the other players, I learned more about his life. He told me it all happens in his head, like there is no real world out here, only the one he has created for himself.

Nice guy of course. Funny and witty, always upbeat. Don't know if that is what you are looking for, but that was my take on him.
