join a community of people that help others.. it may be extremely hard to get started but once you see other people who have been in worse turmoil then yourself it may help you to enjoy life more or at least find happiness in knowing your helping to improve there life... happy easter

can relate too your problems, after Reading your thread certain traits I can totally relate too others not so much (but us being different may have something too do with that)

I basically degened off 20k which 16 I had won these 4 months I have less than a 3k life roll left and think the world has ended!!

It hasn't though, I just am depressed/life tilted about playing cash games and degening off everything.

I was at a councellor but was at my all time low, since I stopped seeing her I have spiralled worse and worse, even though I found it hard it was good for someone too console too that had no emotional attatchment.

Really try get help, I need it too and I am going too go too a g.a meeting in the near future too try too see how hopeless some gamblers become.

I can totally relate too money seeming all that matters cause it seems it with me when in actual fact money means nothing without being happy even when I had a 10k roll I wasn't exactly happy or anything (I know this may be a tiny percent too some people but too me it was my means too success)

since losing it I am even worse, but that's more too do with the importance of what my roll represented too me, not the actual money that meant anything.

The last post is very solid advice and that is why I am you going too do it pronto...

If you ever wanna pm us just too chat about pointless things/poker/gambling/life issues feel free because I am always here too listen and help, I am very bad at doing what I need too do but pretty good at being there too give advice or even realte too life problems (however simple or meaningless they might seem)..

All the answers in this thread are so true, diet, social life, gym, a purpose in life are what helps this grind of a life, it's the latter that directly effects the first three though..

It's hard life, it's never going too be simple but we can succeed too happiness my friend if we direct our abilities too our goals and set proper routines and live a happier lifestyle, all said easy, getting up and doing it is another thing :/

Bad idea. Two people with no purpose meeting to have a mutual admiration society about how bad life is. Misery loves company is a bad basis for a friendship.

I think you have a screw loose. I think there are certain people like you for whom life really doesn't matter, and will never matter. I think it is a form of arrested development. A section of your brain stopped maturing and left you unable to develop a rational view of life. Unless you develop some motivation to change this stunted growth problem, you may just have to resign yourself to a life of unhappiness until time finally eliminates your problems.

I will say that at some point you should stop whining about it to the world at large. Poker players hate bad beat stories. But people in general are repelled by people for whom life is a bad beat. You must be a total drag to be around right now.

Perhaps if you just shut up for a year, something positive will happen to you by dumb luck. Something that will change your outlook by accident. If you keep up your whining, you will live a miserable life and die in obscurity and people will be more than happy to forget you ever were alive. Because you really never were.

Or, pretend life has purpose and act that way without the passion. Maybe over a long period of time, by repetition, a better outlook will become a habit rather than the despair you currently display.

Maybe help some people and enjoy the feedback loop - without giving a s-h-i-t. Maybe the corrupted section of your brain will have a self-correcting epiphany. Even if it doesn't, you will improve the world by not inflicting your abject negativity upon it for a beneficial segment of time.

Don't care. Don't give a crap. Just live better and more positively as an intellectual exercise. What do you have to lose? Obviously not much at the moment.

From reading your replies it seems you really just want free money, you come across very lazy. Take this quote, "If you want something in life you got too want it as much as you want too take the next breath of air". Give it a go hold your breath for aslong as you can and just watch your body fight for that next gasp of air. Go get a labour job, save up, study poker 2 hours every day, commit yourself an I'm sure in a years time you will be able too win at a good rate and have a good bankroll to start at a decent level but if your not going too commit to that than forget your dream of becoming rich and just keep buying lotto hope for the best

You got it all wrong muck ... negativity brings out negative thoughts and then you put your own spin on things to make your mind "correct" in thinking what you want. There's people out there that are good. everyone has bad days.. everyone has a temper to some extent.. just because one person has a bad minute and says the wrong thing doesn't make them fake... we are all human and no one is perfect.. having the mind set your somehow smarter and above people really just means you have some issues you need to work out. I feel bad for you personally.. I've been in that state of mind and it just gets more damaging as the days go on.. you become harder and harder... there is a war on everyone's mind and it wants you to take the wrong route... do you want to give in to the pleasures of bad nature or do you want to work to be above it and truly stand tall in this world.. Life isn't easy and to truly achieve greatness it's going to be a struggle and a challenge.. many good days but also many bad days.. You have to keep your eye on the prize.. and sometimes people spend 3/4's of their life to really find what the prize is.. Why are you afraid of other's expectations? My friends, my family, and my clients all expect certain things of me. I thrive on exceeding those expectations whenever possible. Why? It's fun to be good. Why be a miserable lazy incompetent bitch? It doesn't pay. Being good is something I do because I enjoy it. It's a selfish pleasure. I do not believe in altruism or selflessness or any of that other nonsense. Being good pays. It pays money. It pays respect. It pays looking in the mirror and giving the reflection a thumbs up. The only time I get depressed is when I fail to live up to expectations, either internal or external. And I quickly make an adjustment, because depression is not something I will tolerate for very long. Being depressed is a choice, not an illness.

You want free money? Why? If you did not earn it, what value does it have? None. Money is a condensation of time. That's why it's so much fun. Time is the only unavoidable limit, but money gives you the power to leverage the time of others. So, in effect, it is like getting extra minutes of life when you earn a nice sum of money. But earning it is the only way for it to pay an emotional dividend. Just finding it or falling into it or even stealing it will never do you any good. It has to be earned to be fun.

So if you want money so bad, stop being afraid of expectations. Exceeding expectations is how you make good money. Embrace the high expectations of others, and blow their doors off with extra performance and effort. The money will follow, the time it represents will follow, and thumbs up to the man in the mirror will follow.

Money doesnt care where it comes from. Thats like saying you didnt enjoy spending all those birthday gifts (money) you got from your family. Or wedding gifts! So I dont buy that "it has to be earned to be fun" Spending money is fun.

I assume you dont think I already put in the hours at work? Do overtime, go above and beyond what I am payed to do? I go to night classes to improve my skills for my job, I get to work early and come home late, I pay for my fuel when its during work hours when I have to go to a site, if theres a problem within the office, I'm the first point of contact, internet, email, plotters, printers, computers, anti-virus software, software in general, web page etc...but thats not even my job thats additional work thats thrown to me, because I'm the nice guy, because other people has these expectations of me, I put in the extra effort and perform and the money did not follow, I got nothing for my efforts even when I asked for a payrise.

Its like I was saying before I have to be offered something and then I will meet the expectations of others. Because to be honest going through that rigmarole of utter BS is not worth it.

Its getting to the point where I want nothing, then I will be nicest guy on the planet, then the world can rape me everyday and take whatever they want.
