Re: Letters from a Poker Madman

So I went along to this cancer charity event. They held bingo in this local football hall, I give £10 into the bucket. It only lasted 1hr or so, I helped put away the tables and chairs etc..and asked the organiser if anymore events are being held and that if they needed a volunteer give me a ring, she said sure.

I came away feeling worse, I felt like a sucker, £10 poorer and additional work load if she rings me, might not go back.

Re: Letters from a Poker Madman

Sounds like a typical life to me. Never have money to live a good lifestyle.
Unfullfilled and unsatisfied career. Dreaming about being a rock star player traveling around the world getting paid to do what you love to do.
Fortunately you don't have any addictions like drugs or alcohol.
Wish I could trade places with you man. I'd give anything to be 27 again, so many possibilities but you just can't see that right now as you're obsessed with poker.

What I could do as a broke 27 year old........

Wait until you wake up one day and you're 45 years old, single and can't get laid and still broke with a dead end job and no skils and bad health thinking everyday suicide is the best way out because you don't want to keep humping these crappy jobs just to give all your money to someone else.

Here are some ideas: go to chef school and take the financial aid
Go abroad and teach English for a year, then when your contract is over you'll be bankrolled again
Make a baby see how that changes your life
Become a thief
Endless possibilities at your age, I envy you so much.

Re: Letters from a Poker Madman

what does it mean to be a man? Things I've learnt during my time here is that being a man just means to sacrifice and step up and work hard.

I went on a date took her shopping drove down 45mins. Went to a few clothe shops with her bought her a dress then I wandered off I noticed other men hanging around outside the shops holding the bags looking just as miserable as I felt.

I bought the coffees and drove home again I feel like I dont get anything from a relationship. I feel unoticed.

Re: Letters from a Poker Madman

So I got rid of unwanted items in my house like unused clothes, books, tv i never use, clock, radio and other items to a local charity shop.

I still have a few poker books left I took them to work so I could put them on ebay. No one wanted them.

If no one wants them am going to bin them already dumped a few and give as birthday gifts.

Re: Letters from a Poker Madman

A few recommendations...

just get rid of the books. Nobody cares. Throw them in the recycling bin, garbage, behind the charity used goods store, or throw them on the side walk and wish them a happy home.

Take some illicit drugs. Perhaps that will make you feel good and open up your mind to all that you've been missing. I don't care if you get hooked and die, at least you'll finally feel good for just a bit.

Become a hobo. Do nothing but hang out with other hobo's, take drugs, drink, **** ur pants. Ride a train for free across country. Feel the wind on your face, look at the country side scenery, see some wild animals.

If you don't have the guts for that, then move accross the country and start somewhere new. You should feel some sense of renewal, but judging from your earlier responses, you probably won't feel any satisfaction from that either.

Lastly, I'm glad I didn't write a post like yours. Sounds pathetic. Nobody cares. I don't care about you. Get a ****in life. Either way, stop whining. You whine a lot. I have the same problems as you but I try to see the good side, I look for ways to change, I think about ways to change, I try to learn from others lessons, etc. I don't just shyt on every suggestion or say it is/was unappealing. So go ahead, take illicit drugs and report your experiences on bluelight. Just please stop whining, you sound so ****ing boring (one thing you are right about) and are frustrating to communicate with.

P.S. You are an emotional vampire. Nobody likes or wants to be around people who just shyt and pyss all over everthing. After reading your posts I feel drained. If you like to have that effect on people, then go ahead and keep on doing what you are doing. People will eventually just ignore you and forget about you and I have a feeling that you don't want that.

TBH I'm not sure if that would be that much better. It sounds to me you want to be able to live the good life and I don't know if it would just work as a band aid to cover over the negative feelings you experience right now.

I think there is a lot of truth to this and it probably is the crux or at least a big part of the problem. Its hard to bounce back up when being so negative and its even harder for someone else to help you up because to them it seems as though you don't even want their help.

Re: Letters from a Poker Madman

You can easily travel Europe and play poker with hardly any $$$. Seriously, $2k BR and ambition and your good.

You can make things happen with the right mindset. However, I'm fairly certain you are unable to get into the right mindset.

I keep seeing your posts all over 2+2 and cant think of any advice that hasn't been given already. There are tons of smart people on this thread, start taking some of the advice being given to you
