Ive recently realized that I have an irrational amount of anger when I lose to people that constantly bluff all the time. I dont get mad online cause I cant see their dumb faces but live, when theres a player that just thinks they can raise 75% of pots postflop and steal and then they get there on the river, pretty infuriating lol i actually kinda feel like they are legit stealing from me and that they are doing something wrong. And they are cause they are playing bad but i think part of me feels like they have no right to try to steal that many pots, but obviously they can do whatever they want. Just ranting a bit about my weak mental game

I think there is an argument that we are hard-wired to both detect cheats, and have an innate desire to punish them.

The prisoner's dilema is a good example of this, as is the ultimatim game. Dawkin's wrote about it extensively in The Selfish Gene. There are also good examples of these themes emerging in the current political climate.

So what you're feeling here is somewhat normal. As you say, it's just a case perhaps understanding the reasons underpinning this behavior, and dealing with it better.

You should love playing against a player like that, just smile, and inside, say, keep stealing, i'm gonna hammer you eventually
