It depends a lot on the specific person, playing style, game type, etc. Someone adhering to an extremely strict BRM and nitty style might be making money but not having a lot of "fun" grinding for a living, whereas if they took shots or tried to play more creatively, their profit margins would suffer. Other people who are more risk-tolerant might be able to have fun/play a laggy style and be "doing it right".
