How to study something you don't like?

I am a finance and insurance mathematics student but I don't like the subject. I enjoyed algebra at school level (which was much easier) so I thought I would like this too. But I don't. I don't know what I'm supposed to do because I don't like almost any other subject which I could study. I like philosophy a bit (also economics a little bit) but probably not enough and in my country it's hard to find a job if you study philosophy (except jobs in politics or others which I don't like).

I passed my school exams good, so to be honest, I could study anything.
So, should I:
a) attempt to become a mental guru or something to have immense willpower and study math which I don't like.
b) do something else (no options lol)

Re: How to study something you don't like?

do you have a career goal? do you have a field you want to work in?

if you do and it is necessary/important to have a degree in finance/insurance math then keep on with it, its a means to an end.

otherwise, do something else. take classes in different areas and figure out what you like and/or figure out what kind of job you would like and study whatever degree is best suited for getting into that field of work.
