1/2 NL, 10player live
Promo = $500 high hand every 10min, minimum full house Aces.
UTG: $300
mp (Hero = Q
Q
): $500
co: $200
Preflop:
utg limps, hero raises to $12, co calls, blinds fold, utg calls
flop($39): 2
3
Q
utg checks, hero bets $20, co folds, utg calls
I would normally bet more, say $30, in this spot to charge the draws.
turn($79): T
utg checks, hero bets $30
WTF am I doing betting so little on a wet board?!
i was kicking myself IMMEDIATELY after i made my bet.
$500 is a lot relative to a $1/2 game and it's (small) pots.
when i play $2/5, i completely ignore the promo because $500 isn't that much relative to stacks/pots in that game.
So how do i stop myself from playing differently?
Or is it correct to play differently because of the implied odds of hitting the promo?
