How to build mental stamina

I can usually play my "A" game for 120 mins or so.. If I'm not really close to a final table or some excitement I start to lose interest.
I don't work out but I thought building physical stamina might help me mentally. Any ideas, pointers etc?

I have a similar problem. What I do is a bunch of mini sessions. Play for 90 mins, take a break and eat/ watch tv/ go for a walk etc for awhile. I try to do 3 - 4 small sessions a day.
After that I usually get tired and start making mistakes and not playing well. Some days I'm running hot, playing well, and there are juicy games but I know if I keep going Im prone to make huge costly mistakes because Im tired. I wish I could play much more but there's no point if your bringing your C game.
I think exercise is obviously a good starting point. Something I am trying to do more of myself.

Yeah, I have the same problem as well right around the 2 hour mark. After that, I become totally worthless. All you guys who put in marathon 15 hour sessions, teach me your wayz.

Mental stamina and physical health are related. Eat a healthy diet, exercise a lot. Make sure to get 8 hours of sleep a night. I know these things may take time away from poker but they pay dividends. I have brought my A game to 6+ hour sessions, and I really believe it's the diet, exercise, and sleep that allows me to concentrate like that.
