In Hu and Cash games i keep on calling All-ins when i know I'm beat. I've learnt a lot from everyone out here on 2+2, ranges, patterns, etc etc...
Now i get in a situation when a card hits, villain goes all-in, the board paired, he got trips, i have seen this pattern before, ahhh he hit the straight, etc etc I'm beat i should fold.
Yet i call to prove I'm right. I must have done this at least a dozen times in the last little while, each time i was right and each time i lost my buy-in. Please what can i do to keep from being such a dumb donk?

just stop being a dumb donk

Print your post out and put it next to your pc.

Glance at it when your tempted to call again in that situation, it should put you off.

i also do this once in a while, but only in spots where im not absolutely postive. Once you get the reassurance that youre correct just trust in that and make the right play. youve proven that your instincts are right enough times now to actually start using them to your advantage.

Win money, not pots.

If your goal is to make money in the long run, then your default should be to fold when you think you're beaten. Winner's graphs are made of lots of small upswings and lots of smaller downswings. GL op
