ESP in poker? - Page 3 - Psychology in Poker and Gambling

I was in a tournament the other night with about 25 BBs in late position, got pocket 7s and just had the overwhelming feeling the 3rd 7 was coming. I had two all-ins in front of me (one from a guy that had me covered and was pretty tight). I had a feeling I was crushed by at least one of them, but as a I said. I had such a strong feeling the 7 was coming.

I call. Villain 1 has QQ. Villain 2 has AA.

7 hits on the turn.

Do I haz the ESP?

(or am I just a donkey?)

There's no such thing as ESP, except perhaps as a meta abstraction layer of how someone actually arrives at a conclusion over the felt. "How did you know what I have?" "ESP, ldo."

The real world is far more interesting than ESP.

That's a pretty cool question. The subconscious contains a lot of the elements that the conscious does. It receives information, including sensory information, and processes it at quite a sophisticated level.
