it's usually impossible to guess his exact hole cards. Instead you do your best to put him on a range of hands based on how he has played to this point (which you did), and then see how you're doing against his range (that's the part I did).

Yes, combos are how many ways he can have each type of hand. He can have AQ 12 different ways because there are 4 aces and 3 queens un-accounted for. (4 times 3=12). There are 4 combos of suited JT, but 16 including unsuited. Sometimes we know enough about a guy to rule out unsuited hands.
