I have had this problem in the past as well. I would do these long sessions when I m down and eventually get even. When I run really good and get up like 5-10 stacks I would have to quit cause of the "fear" of loosing it back.

Is there any good book that exactly discusses these kind of problems?
Or is there any good tip you guys can give me to deal with this?

I know its one big session, but I just hate to "loose my winnings back" it kinda eats on me. I have no logical explanation for this.
Thanks for every tip in advance

The time you are supposed to leave the table is once you win 2 and half times the amount you sit down with.
But everyone is different, maybe you are running good and want to stay.
Maybe you got 5 fish on your table.
You can judge each situation on its own merit.

How does this translate into online poker, I mean playing 4+tables? And where do you have that from?
I usually play zoom so I dont really have fish at my exact table.
How long of a break is suggested after thinking "being up" affects you?

Thanks for your answer and good to know, that I m not the only one with said problem. I just wish it wouldnt affect me I want to keep grinding hard :P

When you want to quit after winning it's because your mind remembers your state of frustration when you lose it all after a positive session. So, your mind creates the illusion that it's gonna happen again. It's like you're predicting what is going to happen and you're afraid in consequence. It's a form of tilt. In actual fact, you can't predict the future, so your fear doesn't make any sense.

If you play well there is no reasons to stop your session. You can eventually set up a stop loss. The problem with the stop loss in your situation is if you loose one bi it's gonna terribly tilt you. What I mean is that your fear to lose seems to me like a "prevent tilt". You want to quit to protect yourself against tilt if you start losing.

I recommand you to read Mental Game by Jared Tendler. I'm reading it atm there are relevant informations. It gives you a good methodology and thinking process to analyze you.

This happens to me as well. If I'm up 4x-5x my bi I come to a stop and if I don't leave the table I either lose so much that I end up chasing or losing it all.

It didn't alway's use to be like this... There was once I went from $300-$10,000 on the same table. Things change though, I no longer have that kid's mentality and instead replace with all sorts of fears, doubt's and superstition's.
