You have effectively disappeared based in the all day monitoring of the forum a month ago. PMs go unanswered for weeks, questions posed and very little to any interaction from your end here anymore.

More importantly, how does the Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill 2016 effect you and us as players?? For anyone interested.....

It appears to be a Black Friday that we experienced in the States several years back.

I know you have offices in Valetta, do you plan on moving the operations there?

Not trying to be overly difficult or accusatory here, but when you are around in the sub-forum all day for a month or more and all but disappear suddenly...it seems that you are either assessing how this Amendment can/will effect the company or hiding from a new group of potential furious customers. I'll repeat that. I am not making accusations of character or intent, but I am being direct/blunt and hoping someone explains both the sudden absence here and the effect to the company due to the banning of 'in-game betting' and most importantly how it applies to us.

Hi A Dewd! Lack of presence here doesn't mean that we bailed on you. We do thank you for your concern. Our top priority at the moment is the high volume of e-mails we received because of the unexpected issues with our tournaments these past few weeks which we are still working on until now.

Don't worry, the Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill of 2016 only directly affects online poker players from Australia (who won't be able to cash out in the first place) and since our initial market is with the US and Canada, it's still business as usual for us.

As stated in our FAQ, "Global Poker is owned and operated by VGW Holdings Limited, a public company in Australia with obligations to operate at the highest financial and consumer protections standards.
As an Australian public company we are obliged to comply with all rules and regulations INCLUDING the protection of player sweeps and gold coins balances at any time."

Australians never could.

Well, I guess they probably could have in theory, they just wouldn't have been able to cash out so I assume the site wouldn't let them play for sweeps cash.

Hey guys,

Just to clarify,

We do not offer our services to Australian players. You cannot access Global Poker from Australia.

The (Australian) Interactive Gambling Amendment Bill 2016 does not effect Global Poker and the services we provide to US players.

i dont care if you guys open to rest of world players, but please please please dont let them play with us US and Canada folks. You will only be inviting the types of players you dont want and will ruin the unique business model you have. Please realize how important this is. Ask anybody here at any time, myself included
