Traffic WAY down Traffic WAY down

07-22-2018 , 04:29 AM
Okay so ya idk.... 70 tables running at 1 am on a Saturday is more than 50% down from previously, GP claimed in the past their high rake was justifiable because of the high amount of fish (yes they really said this. What's the end game here? I'm honestly not on here to complain about rake but present valid questions some may have about the dual threat of low traffic and extremely high rake compared to the other US options, hopefully changes are made ASAP

There is no mention of this offer at their site and I saw no emails from them.

Selective customers?

I got the same deal but for $100

Deposit $500 and get $600

Not gonna even play on the site until I get my cash out - not worried yet as it's only been a week since approved

I didnt get any deal offered to me.

Traffic seems the same or slightly up to me lately outside of the day where the site had some problems. It seemed like when they first announced the worldpay change it went down a bit but its picked up since.

That's a nice way of saying its getting worse, my point is how far do we/they let it slide until its over?
07-23-2018 , 01:03 AM
I haven’t noticed any new players in quite some time it seems
07-23-2018 , 02:04 AM
Cash tables are definitely falling apart. It's a battle to find one near full, but more noticable is that they just can't stay full. Joined 4 cash tables that had one seat open in the past 15 minutes... all of them broke apart. 4-5 months ago, you could take 1 empty seat and stay at a table for hours.

I stop playing until I get my fund. 6 days already since they reprocessed my transaction
07-23-2018 , 12:59 PM
HS NL action seems to have picked up quite a bit.

Yep, the other day I've seen like 9 NL2k games running. I don't think Stars have so many on somewhat regular basis.

Personal preference I guess. Just playing on the site feels like a gamble in its own right
07-24-2018 , 12:53 AM
152 NLHE tables right now and 50 PLO.

Seems standard...

My guess is they aren't offering deals to people making money on the site. I never got any deal. Other player poker players are getting them though for deposits. they say its random so who knows. But i think if they have an offer its fair for everyone to get it not randomly choose people. No the traffic is down and the tables are full of regs now.

I got a deal (350 for depositing 300), and I'm a winning player. It could be because I withdrew 3/4th of my roll when PayPal went away. :::shrug:::

I'm a winning player and have been offered nothing either. Withdrew much of my roll a while back when I didn't trust the overall feel of the place. Left a little in... ran it up some again. (Small stakes)

But if they're not offering deals to all players, and just trying to entice losing players... that would be shady AF.

I put nothing past this company though. Absolutely nothing. I expect them to be outted for a lot more than the scams they've already run on their players. Sit tight and watch.

I'm all for them giving deposit bonuses to losing players
07-25-2018 , 05:55 AM
I think Global giving losing players some of my rake is a great idea. Seems like a good use of rake to me.

Also site traffic is fine.

I get it. But that's short-sighted thinking. You're saying you're OK with the company not disclosing yet more fairly important information.

The degen mindset leads to exactly what you see every time. Don't hold these companies accountable and before you know it... they're lying to you about depoit methods, typing up withdrawals... who knows what else.
07-26-2018 , 02:22 AM
I'm ok with them not disclosing who they are giving the deposit bonuses to yes. It's fairly obv to me anyway I don't need it explained. No one wants to be labeled as a losing player and it will defeat the purpose to communicate that to everyone. Fish also don't keep records and some are in denial about hm they are losing or whether or not they actually are.

If they gave a flat deposit bonus across the board to everyone like other sites have done in the past(bodog, 888)the fish would still reap the benefits bc they are habitually depositing. They would have to limit withdrawals or charge withdrawal fees to keep regs from abusing it tho.

There's plenty of things to get mad about with regards to Global. This move by them absolutely is not one of them imho.

FYP.

I know you look for every opportunity you can to slam Global, but you should probably save it for when they actually deserve it. Targeting players for bonuses has been done in this business for well over 10 years.

Not disclosing what "fairly important information"? Are you suggesting they need to tell you every time they give someone a bonus, and not you? Do stores also need to tell you about special offers they give to their best customers, or to customers who haven't been back for a long time? Because those are extremely standard as well.
07-27-2018 , 12:29 PM
It also depends on the type of deal... I agree global doesn’t have to give anyone any information on who they offer deposit bonuses to. But it’s nothing to get upset about. I’ve been on a 2 weeks vacation and haven’t played poker at all. I’m a winning player at .5/1 and 1/2... and I got a deposit bonus offer today $10 for $15. A free $5 is nothing to get upset about haha. Do I wish I was offered a higher one? Yes. Do I really care though? No. It’s not an attack towards other players it’s just a business model to probably get the inactive players back.

Is anyone actually surprised? Their only rep straight up lied about the paypal situation. Then doubled down by pointing out that only SOME of the players were being majorly inconvenience with no explanation as to which ones or why. Then, as it that wasnt enough, said rep pulled a Barry Bonds and used the birth of his first child as a human media shield. (assuming its even true)

I havent played on Global since and I was making good supplemental income.
