Tournament problems Tournament problems

Hi guys.

As some of you probably noticed, some of our tournaments tonite closed down mid game.
We made a new deployment yesterday and without knowing 100% I think something happened with that.

We will off course reimburse everybody for their buy ins and then some. We are really sorry about this and we will make sure to make it up to you players.

If we for any reason happen to miss anybody that played, then please contact me here and I will take care of it right away.

Hello. I recently joined Global Poker. I entered a $50 turbo tournament. Top 3 were to be paid out, with 3rd place getting $90. There were 4 people left. I had the 3rd highest stack. Me and the 4th highest stack ended up going all in against the 1st highest stack. We both lost to the 1st highest stack. Now, I entered that hand under the assumption that this was a legitimate poker tournament with legitimate poker tournament rules. Tournament rules are that whoever has the highest chip stack before that hand is awarded the highest finishing place if 2 multiple people are eliminated on the same hand. I had the higher chip stack. I should've been awarded 3rd place and been given the $90. The only reason I played that hand was to increase the odds of the 4th place guy being eliminated. He was forced to go all in because of the blinds. What can be done to credit my account with the remaining $45 that not awarded to me?

This is a continuing problem that has happened to me also. In my case, both of us split the 3rd place prize, and that is not the norm for poker tournaments anywhere. I hope they will fix this.

If two players go out on the bubble, the player with the bigger stack at the beginning of the hand should be awarded 3rd place, as albundy331 stated above.

Actually, these two replies should be split into a new thread, as they are off-topic to the OP.

It has been an issue since they opened for business. They haven't changed it yet and I doubt they will. It happened to me a long time ago doing the same thing, entering the pot to force out the short stack and I ended up splitting it with them.

At least if they are going to keep it this way, they should have it clearly spelled out as to how these pots are settled out.

Yeah I bought in for $60 on global poker and it was a 20 + $2 Buy in and three of us go all-in I have 11,000 more dollars than the guy who went all in with me and then the chip leader also was all in and me and the other guy have the split fourth place even though I had way more chips than him any other poker site he would have been in fifth place in that got paid that's absolute BS and if this continues I'll never play here again. I mean how do they even think that's acceptable like it what would go through someone's mind to think that that's okay.
