Regulars and the 5000 hands fiasco Regulars and the 5000 hands fiasco

I took 2nd in the event and I will still say, I am very disappointed and upset with Global Poker. Their decision to allow everyone entry is a slap in the face to every regular who spent a month grinding out 5000 hands.

Not only were we robbed of our equity in the tournament, but we were denied the chance to place a (relatively) high stakes tournament among players who are both familiar and competitive with each other.

Global Poker management seriously needs to start putting its regulars first. We are the backbone of your new and growing site, and should be recognized as fundamental to your success.

It is good to see a reg got second. Congrats ! I notice a few regs made the final table.

We as a group certainly got shafted of a great game between us all. I played well over the 5000 mark with no rake back or bonus. I did this because the games are friendly and I want to see the site succeed. I also played more then I usually would of with no bonus clearing or no rake back being earned because of the high value Freeroll that was on the horizon. It is the same players opening up tables and playing each other day in and day out. Those players got shafted.

I do recognize **** happens sometimes and I am not as angry as most others. GP is a new start up. But a better solution could have been found. I mention multiple in the other thread on this. The $50 is certainly nice on there part but that adds up to about 2-3 % rake back on my play.

You guys need to start offering rake back if you want to keep players playing large amount of hands. You are going to end up having a bunch of players doing the min on your site to play the "free" games offered. Or an option to opt into it. Rake back given after the tourney flops are earned. Something concrete. Flop xxxx hand for a free XXX amount of money as a challenge would be a way to go about it.

And I also want to know why some other regs haven't been given the $50. Was it only ones who raked well over the 5000 mark that got the "free" $50 ?

I agree with op, it was tough on those who spent all that time qaulifying then opening the flood gates. But on the other side of the coin site needs new players and understand from that side as well.
