This is the only site I play on where registration for a tournament closes the moment a tournament begins! I have tried to enter your 9:30pm nightly several times but am unable to due to signing into the website shortly after 9:30. IMHO: you should be allowed to late register for a tourney until the rebuy period ends. Please fix or am I not seeing something which would allow me to register!?

As a rec-fish, I like the fact there is no late reg. I believe global is pushing for a social gaming site and this should stay as is to support that goal.

Hi TheDonkeyFish. For now, we highly suggest that you go online and register early to your preferred tourney to avoid inconvenience. On the other hand, rest assured that your feedback has been noted and will be forwarded to our poker team. Thanks for choosing Global Poker

I have to disagree with this. A short late reg period should be incorporated into their tournaments. Not all players are punctual and a one-hour late reg would help those who, for whatever reason, are a little late to the game. A one-hour late reg used to be pretty standard.

not to mention global tourneys have been starting four minutes early.

Please make a one hour late reg period happen. This would still put your site miles ahead of the other sites that have 3 to 5 hour late reg periods which are unbearable.

I think 30 minute late reg is the sweet spot. It gives those who forgot an extra 30 minutes to join. Which IMO is what late reg was intended for. 1 hour should only be used in staple games like your weekly or special one off games. Keep No late reg games as well. It is a selling point for your site. Please no more than 1 hour late reg. Most sites have gone crazy with the late reg.

Mix it up with the above IMO.

Yeah, I can see the benefit of a SHORT late reg time.
It's the rebuy/add-on tournaments with a 240 minute late registration that keep my fishy money from going in the pool.

A 10-30 minute late registration makes sense.

+1

A short late Reg Period is better than a no late reg period

Back in the day, there were never any late reg tourneys. Sounds quaint.

I am absolutely against late reg, for the simple fact that when I register for a tournament, I look at the number of entrants + the pay structure to see how profitable I believe the game can be for me. Used to play on other sites mentioned with ridiculous late reg and there is no way to know what the pay structure or number of entrants will look like when it's locked in.

Best solution seems to be a short late reg period of about 30 mins will make most happy. I'd play 1 hour late reg tournies if they were all made that way, but wouldn't play much longer than that unless it has a huge GTD prize pool.

Yeah a short late reg period about 30 min to an hour would be just fine
