No gold coins on big Guarantee Tourneys No gold coins on big Guarantee Tourneys

I'm guessing Global is doing it for some sort legality reasons, but does the biggest tourney of the week have to require us to see gold coin(fake money) flops every single week? You'd draw a lot more entrants without it. Most people don't want to waste their time playing for no money. Maybe have us see 1000 gold coin flops to unlock the guarantee tourneys for the whole year??? Just a thought.

I can see the value of this actually for their sweeps business model. 500 hands in the gold tables isn't that bad and great value for only a $22 buyin with a 5K gtd. Looks like the last game was overlay as well. I do like the idea of a gold coin flop that would unlock all gtd for a year.

I do think GP want more players in the gold games for the casual play money tiers as it matches exactly to their sweeps model they need to adhere to. If there is no way of incentivizing those games, then whats the point of gold games anyway. Remember, we buy gold chips and we get "free" cash chips. Well, most of us are buying the "cash" chips to play.

I too assumed there is some sort of legal reason behind this, maybe they need X% of gold coins action to run along side the $weepscash games.

If there is a legal reason this has to be done then fine, I can live with it. If not however, then it makes little sense to me why you would structure the game this way. The night I spent putting in my 500 gold coins flops was simply a night of lost revenue for Global as I would normally have filled that time generating rake on the cash tables.

Yea it sucks, only took me an hour and a half. 12 tables going and couldn't even see what my cards were the tiles were so small on my laptop. I just called everything and didn't fold until the flop. Funny thing is I actually ended up with more gold coins after I was done 😂😂

+1 I do think there is a purpose. I wonder if they would lift the 500 flop requirment for the one game and then raise the buyin to say 55$ and raise the GTD to say 10K instead of 5K and no requirement for direct buyin to the tourney AND also have satties for 5.50 run everyday (with gold of 100 hands to qualify to play), it will serve two purposes, those that don't want to play gold poker and would rather buyin directly to play and those that would grindout the 5.50 games and gold tables at the same time.

This would give daily gold grinds justice and it would offer value to the players in a good structured game on Sunday on GP? I think it would shorten the length of making the GTD of that very tourney and it provides the continued safe haven of the sweeps business case as well and runs daily.

I can see someone just paypal 5.00 a day to play gold and then qualify nightly for the sattie into the Sunday main daily. That would also get them in the daily freeroll as well for their daily purchase, they would also get their flop freeroll and also add them into the sattie for the main. That is a win / win for all, don't you think?
