Two thumbs up

I especially like the experimentation with some bigger buy ins, a freeze out, and some 1 rebuy/1 addon as opposed to the standard fare of unlimited rebuy games. This will be a nice addition to the regular schedule of games, I hope it meets with much success.

Agreed, two thumbs up here.

Freeze outs, 1+1 in the R/As, and bigger games are sure welcome. I get that networks need to allow long periods to register and re-entry/rebuy to insure the GTD is filled, but it is nice to have some of these to jump on now and then.

When are achievements for hands seen going to be up, I like it.

I pray that, by then, you will have synchronized breaks and that your tournaments will start when they say they're going to start?

That will be the difference between a good and a great tourney series.

This is great will definitely get in on the action in this.

Few questions, will there be an update to your software to include some player suggested improvements such as synchronized breaks, a short late registration period and tournament lobby improvements before the series starts?

It's debatable if late reg is an "improvement", when it was first raised a lot of posters (myself included) said we like it this way with no LR. Although if they implemented a very short late reg like maybe 15 minutes that would be fine. As it stands one can prereg events all day long even late the night before so no LR isn't preventing anyone from playing. Their tourneys are still starting 3-4 minutes early across the board so maybe a 5 min LR to make up for it lol.

Sync breaks, on the other hand, would not only be an improvement it should be a priority imho. All mtt's break at :55 please. Our bladders thank you. lol

Edit: Would also like to see the payment system updated for cash outs to not incur the Paypal fee, which I know you're working on but would be nice to have that rolled out before the big series.

Hello Jaybear, for sure there will be future updates in Global Poker, it may or may not include some of the suggestions of our players. But on the other hand, rest assured that we are taking note of every single ideas/request/proposals from our customers so that we can forward it to our poker team for reviewing.

I think late reg is going to have to come into play for GTDs. We want them to offer more games and I believe it will be too hard to meet these prize pools without a late reg. Now I am with you when it comes to making it a short Reg period. Somewhere between 30 min to an hour. I know this may lead to smaller fields and smaller GTDs but I rather have that then 3 to 4 hour late reg GTDs

Well can you at least get the tournaments to stop starting 4 minutes early?

But really, it doesn't. They have gtds now with no LR while they are still very much in their infancy in terms of player growth, and they are not scaling back, they are expanding. Something must be working.

1 hour late reg may not be ideal for rebuy tourneys. It allows people to enter right before the add on and only pay 1 extra buy in, the add on, and play from there. Many of those same players if forced to enter at the start will generate multiple rebuys. Having 1 hour LR will get you some additional field size but maybe not much more buy ins. For example I ripped through a lot of rebuys in omaha tonight (cause I suck) where as if I could LR right before the end of the first hour I would have done that and saved myself a lot of buy ins lol.

LR has gotten so carried away on other sites I really think not having it is a selling point for Global. Now I say that as someone who would benefit from a LR period... I often can't get home quite in time for the 8pm ET games so if I intend to play them I have to reg early and blind down for 10-30 minutes... so if a 30 min LR comes I won't be crying. But if I had a vote I would vote to keep it as is (and get the start times fixed so they are not 4 minutes early!)

This.
If Global feels one is necessary please keep it short. First blind level or something similar I think would be a nice compromise.

Maybe a dumb question, but when will the counter go up for the 5000 hands/10K freeroll? I see the hand counter for this Sunday's 2500gtd kick off is already up...

Maybe this isn't a dumb question. The promo says the qualification period for the 5000 hands is 24 days, which if I can count means hands should be counting right now.
03-09-2017 , 11:36 PM
Not a dumb question my friend. The challenge is up and running.
03-10-2017 , 10:04 AM
Hate late registration!!!!!
03-10-2017 , 12:34 PM
Will I have to worry about daylight savings time screwing up the registration times for this Sunday?
03-10-2017 , 12:51 PM
good question
03-11-2017 , 08:47 AM
Now I know this might be a stupid question LOL but will there be any true free rolls? During this march madness? For people that don't have much money left I only have two to three dollars left at the moment so I would not be able to play enough cash games to qualify to get in any of the free rolls I think so was just wondering if there will be any at all that will be a complete freeroll where you don't have to qualify to get in? Okkk ty for the info
