Admin imo adding these games won't impact your traffic in NLHE games, it will be negligible. The demand for these games is very small. There are always some players that like them, but just for a comparison...
I just opened up a larger US facing network, they currently have well over 125 NLHE cash game tables running. There are exactly 2 fixed limit HE tables running, both are heads up tables and 1 player is at both so that's 3 active FLHE players only playing HU. There are 4-5 more sitting alone on tables waiting for some unsuspecting rec player to sit with them because they refuse to sit with each other lol.
PLO8/NLO8 has 10 tables currently running, FLO8 has none and only 1 player seated waiting for a game.
I do think these games should be added. I'm not sure they warrant a high priority because frankly the demand for them is low. On the plus side adding them simply won't have any tangible impact on your NLHE games and having a more robust game offering makes sense. Also I can't stress enough, make sure these (or any) new games are very well beta tested before you roll them out. Especially Omaha/8 since you don't yet offer any high/low split games... no offense to your programmers but I'd be surprised if they get all the nuances correct with version 1.0.
I'm not trying to take a side for or against these games. Just trying to bring some unbiased facts to the discussion as well as share my own opinion. FWIW once FLO8 is offered I will play, I currently go to that larger US facing network for FLO8 but the games are very limited and generally only running in the evenings higher than 2c/4c. I would play anything from $2-$4 to $5-$10 if the games run.
