How are you tracking results? How are you tracking results?

Hey guys,

I'm a pretty organized person. Global doesn't track in PT though. What methods do you use to track your results besides just looking at your account balance? Do you just rack it by session in an excel sheet?

Thanks in advance!

You shouldn't be a results based player...

All joking aside, I have an excel spreadsheet with several tabs

1. Overall bankroll - % of win/loss, plus overall averages of win % and loss % was it a win or loss at cash, tournaments or both and a notes field

2. Tournament tab - tracks is there overlay's, starting chip stacks, % of buy in compared to prize pool, rebuy status and such

3. SNG tab - All of my SNG stats are tracked here including at which buy in I played, overall stats from that buy in, first place finishes compared to ITM percentages, ROI for each buy in and overall ROI for SNG in particular.

4. Notes - notes on players I see a lot at the stakes I play because the notes field is just not enough on global. Searchable by player name.

5. Cash tabs - Stats from each level of cash game I am playing at, including profit per session, amount of hands played at that level, and total BBs won per 100 hands at that level.

I have thought about it, but I would need to sanitize some data and then fill with some sample data so it doesn't just have a bunch of confusing DIV/0 errors. If I find some time I will put it up.

Yeah formula's, etc may confuse those not fluent with excel. Kewl man, appreciate it if/when you do.

I'm late to the game splayaa, followed your link but I guess you took it down?

Yeah I only took it down like a week ago as well, but I deleted the file. I will have to sanitize my current spreadsheet to put it back up again.

Ive been using Poker Bankroll Tracker on Android. Using the live session option I can adjust my chip totals in realtime and when I'm finished with my cash game it gives me a neat little graph. I can enter tournament information like buy in, total players and itm payouts, and what you placed in said tournament. Calculates ROI and various statistics. Also, it's free. Does have a pro version that's under $5 a year.

^^ That's pretty cool.

I use google sheets so I can access the document on all computers, at work, etc. Track it by game type (SNG, MTT, Cash), buy in, cash out amount, withdraws, etc. Works pretty good, you just need to be consistently updating while playing.

I simply have a composition notebook on my desk that I write the date, stakes, +/- and BR total in at the end of each day. I also keep track of monthly totals. The back 1/4 of the notebook I use to track withdrawals and all my crypto dep/wd

This is how I keep track as well.

I mainly track my transactions through Google Sheets.

As I mentioned in some other thread, sharkscope.com has been tracking all Global MTTs/SnGs for the last few months. I presume it's not 100% accurate, but it's a significant time saver compared to manually entering in your results.

As far as cash is concerned, I personally jot down my balance before playing and examine it after leaving the tables. Highly scientific.

I mean, this has to be a big waste of time to manually do this for SnGs/MTTs, lol. All you gotta do is go to the site and type in your name.

To each their own, but just as a reference for everyone looking at this -

the Sharkscope FAQ says that Sharkscope cannot calculate the total amount of rebuys for each player in a rebuy tournament, and thus has to estimate the average buyin of each player based on the total prize pool. This obviously leads to a non-exact (although decently accurate) log of results

I use an abacus

Oh yeah, I meant to mention that. They also automatically include the add-on for everybody in all add-on MTTs. You're definitely not getting exact numbers; I certainly wouldn't use it to pay taxes or whatever.
