Just bad luck on my part then. I do log allot of hours / hands on the site. So it is possible I play longer so in return experience these glitches more often then others.

GPSCMOD responded to the issue in another thread...... I will paste it here to keep the information in one spot.

Some reinsurance that it is still being looked into at least.

Well, I finally had this happen to me tonight. First time in 10k hands but luckily I knew of this thread. I can only imagine what a random player not familiar with the forum/this thread would think (I doubt it would be good things, likely causing them to cease playing).

I did manage to get screenshots of everything and have sent it off to support.

It was a 6 max .5/1 NL table, Fremont. The table appeared to be 5 handed as no player was seated to my direct left. There was actually a player in that seat however. The "dealer" tab on the table did not show any actions from the ghost player, but the actual hand history shows the "non-ghost" table as if everything is normal.

Another player commented in chat as well about a previous hand that did the same thing.

Here are a couple of the screenshots that I took:

if u want to capture this problem in realtime, use desktop video software

this one is free and open source:
https://obsproject.com/

this problem is going to be hard for the software developers to narrow down because it is so intermittent. capturing it in realtime will at least help give some clues

I know they are already looking into it but at least I have an exact hand number for them to start.

I also wanted to post the pictures for further visibility for other players to be more aware.

the problem is the HH shows everything correctly, its the display that doesnt match so having video of the elements that lead up to the event will be very helpful. im a former software engineer so just giving perspective from that vantage point

I appreciate the help Chips!

I did receive a response from support, where he also sent me a screenshot of the hand history (that I already sent) that showed no error on the site side:

We understand where you coming from. There were instances that if the internet connection of your opponent or yours, is slow or intermittent, you may not seeing the picture of other players but it's actually there. We have checked our records and your previous hand histories and found no irregularities.
The biggest thing that jumps out to me is that if the internet connection of my opponent is slow, they might not show up! So it's not even necessarily an error on the user's side either.

I really don't like the response they gave you. I reported this issue multiple times and got a similar response and none at all to my last inquiry ( Other then the Rep Post I updated the thread with days back ) . The only difference from the response they gave me and the one BCT got was they went from ... it's on your end to ... it's on your end or your opponents.

I suppose it is possible that it is due to the "ghost" player having a bad connection but it's a long shot... A Poor connection should only affect how that player sees the table not everyone else.

Unless the ghost player's connection is hosting the game how exactly can that persons connection cause your table to act up. It's not just the "ghost" glitch. There are other issues. Your chip animation not working correctly. Rivers being dealt when there is no more action. Action buttons being giving after a player has folded.

The issue is on GP end.

The "ghost" problem is very much like what my friends and I had experienced on PSN playing Gran Turismo at times. Some of us will see everyone on the track, others cannot see and hear everyone and even their leaderboard does not show the "ghost" players. If we open a different lobby it did help sometimes, and sometimes only clearing the cache of the PS3 helped.
We believe it was networking problems somewhere and probably in the programming. There has been little to no issues for quite a while after the developers released updates. The biggest difference here is we are all running the same platform consoles on the same network. When you get into PC / Mac / Android there are so many variables that could cause issues like this so it is easy for them to blame the end user instead of their programming. ‎Polyphony Digital was not able to do that so they had to locate the problem and patch it.

^^^^

That is exactly what the situation reminds me of also. When you have a weak connection on something like the XBox the connection effects other players only if the weak connected player is host of the game everyone is playing. If they are not the host then the connection only causes the person with the weak connection problems.

There is no way someone's weak connection should be causing us to see river cards being dealt when there is no more action or the cause of us seeing action buttons after we have folded. I also think it is a long shot that another persons weak connection will cause us not to see them but be good enough for them to sit and play.
