1 hour is plenty to stop ratholers. 24+ hours is not to stop ratholers, it's either a programming flaw or implemented by someone who's not an experienced poker player.

Just because 1 hour isn't enough doesn't mean 24 hours or more is necessary, and a response of "no it stops people who rathole" to suggesting that it should be less than 24 hours is extremely silly. I don't know what the correct amount of time should be, but of course it doesn't need to be 24 hours or more to stop ratholing. I don't think OP is out of line in suggesting they look at this.
And all of this is assuming that ratholing in and of itself is even a problem that needs to be dealt with in the first place.
If you want to argue 1 hour isn't enough, fine, make it 2 hours. 24+ is over the top and unnecessary. FTR I don't rathole, I actually prefer to play as deep as possible. And I'm supportive of the programming attempt to thwart ratholing. I'm also a logical thinker who likes a common sense approach. Try it sometime.
One hour is plenty although I am not apposed to 2 hours. I haven't seen any issues on Global Poker with cash play. It's a friendly game with the same players day in and out.

Thanks for the response, and the possible future change, but what is the answer to my question? Currently, what is the required time to sit out of a cash game before you can buy in for 100bb again?
