Australia Loses Fight for Online Poker Australia Loses Fight for Online Poker

Does this affect global in anyway, considering they are based out of Australia?

It shouldn't. It is regarding outside Australia network operators legality. PS, as an example, would need to get a license from the government to make their service available. If not, the network supposedly gets an astronomical fine, millions per day, to allow Aussies to play on their site. Not sure how they would collect that since most sites are in non tax-treatise locales.

Global 'exports' their gaming to the US and Canada, for the most part.

This was asked a while back, the global rep confirmed it will not have an impact on them as the law is for online poker being offered in Australia, and GP doesn't offer it there.

Global did respond to this inquiry already in this thread here:

http://forumserver.twoplustwo.com/25...rvice-1659696/

However they should hop in this thread at some point to confirm all is well and this bill doesn't mean anything to Globalpoker.

Could someone working for Global/VGW please hop in here to confirm?

Hello,

As mentioned above this does not effect the Global Poker offering in the United States.

Thanks
