Amnesty anyone? Amnesty anyone?

There have been a lot of players recently posting about being banned for having multiple accounts. Who knows how many accounts have been banned, but it seems like a lot. I agree that it is theft and they fully deserve to be banned. BUT, I still would like to see these players at the tables. We want high traffic and as many non reg players as possible, and I'm sure Global wants as many players as possible to generate rake. Why not make a onetime amnesty period for everyone?? Hear me out...

Have something that pops up when we log on, a ONE TIME pledge for us to sign off on. It can say something like this, "NOTICE: PLEASE READ, it has been brought to our attention and we have discovered some players that have signed up for multiple accounts. This is clearly a violation of our TOS. If found to have multiple accounts(and you will be found out when you try to cash out), you will be banned for life and any funds seized. We are giving you a one time get out of jail free card. If you have made more than one account, you have one chance right now to fix it."

Something along those lines. And have two buttons at the bottom, one that says, "No multiple accounts, PLAY POKER" and one "I've made multiple accounts, LET'S FIX IT"

Let everyone who signs up for a new account sign off on the same thing, and send the people that have already been banned an email saying they have been given a second chance.

You can still seize the funds of those in violation, but they'd have one more chance to wipe the slate clean. What does everyone think about this??

This is why I hate my generation (millennials). Is it so hard to read the TOS when you create your account? Is it too hard to follow the rules? Global Poker has done us all a huge favor by offering us $2 free, while not life changing by any means, it's a free handout. Why do they have to offer more to those that have broken the rules? If you broke the rules, send them and email and admit your fault, don't let them catch you, it's that simple. If they determine you still deserve a ban, then so be it.

So rather than just deal with these issues as they come up, on an account-by-account basis, which allows them to take individual's circumstances into account, you think it's a good idea to instead:

1) Let people who have intentionally created dozens of accounts to defraud Global Poker off the hook completely scot-free.
2) Advertise to the entire player base the fact that you're doing this, basically letting everyone know that you're allowing a bunch of fraudsters to play with them.

Yeah, think I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one.

Ok, I can see by the first few posts, not a very good idea. Was just a thought. Have felt bad for a few of them.. I guess a case by case basis as bobo said would be better. Sorry, laugh up my dumb idea everyone!! 😩

I think your heart's in the right place OP, but no, not a good business move for them.

To be quite honest, Globals suspensions of these accounts impresses me and bodes well for their legitimacy.

i hold no mercy either for those that have created multi accounts and especially if their purpose was to get the two dollars. i dont have a problem if they lifetime banned these players.
Case by case to me is:
i tried to create an account and thought i did" but for what ever reason, email verify, username, you name it, i cant log in so i assume my account didnt get created. So i create another one(under the assumption the first one didnt go through).
This is easily trackable for the security department at global, they can tell for several reasons that this intent was honest. One, the player has only played using the second account he/she created and two the first account was never played and/or which led to the second signup right after the first one, same session on their servers.

You do realize that if someone made multiple accounts they did it to steal $2. That's super busto lol degen level of stealing.

I'm pretty sure someone that pathetic/busto probably wasn't going to pay that much in rake, nor be good for the site.

So no, I don't support amnesty, I support grown adults who steal having to face consequences for their actions and having their other account winnings taken from them.
