He has a bag with 3 tiles in it. 1 tile has 2 red sides, 1 has 2 green sides, 1 has a green side and a red side. You take a tile from the bag and place it on a table. It has a green side face up. The guy says "I'll bet you even money that the other side of the tile is also green." Should you take the bet? Reasons for your answer? Last edited by YouBenBeat; 07-30-2012 at 05:23 PM.

Hence it's 66% likelyhood of the other side being green as well. (instead of the intuitive 50% that he offers up).

Obviously it's not my decision to make, but my opinion is it's fine posted here. It's sort of a logical puzzle at least as much of a probability question, and we do those. (It's an easy one, as others have observed, but still.) And no, don't take the bet.
