Probability of been dealt same cards? Probability of been dealt same cards?

I played yesterday for 5 hours. 38 Spin and Go's, 3 Mtts, 30 mins of Zoom, and 30 mins of cash. I was dealt the same hole cards over 48 times. Different suits though in 90% of the deals.
Is this normal randominity, anyone roughly know how to calculate the odds of this?

You mean the same hand (neglecting suit) 48 times, or like 24 different hands that all repeated? And about how many hands did you play in total?

Then they aren't the same hole cards. Getting just the same ranks is 16 times more likely than getting "the same hole cards".

The chance to be dealt the same ranks as your last hand, is 1 in 78.

Lets say 35 neglecting suits 48 times in one 5 hour session of around 2000 hands.

The chance for 3 5 (or any specific non-pair hand) is 8/52*4/51=1.207%.The probability of at least 48 occurrences in 2000 hands is given by the binomial distribution and will happen about once every 95,000 sets of 2000 hands. While not impossible, perhaps you are mistaken about how often it happened. Did you actually count the number of 3 5’s you got?

If you actually got the hand about 36 times, the probability of this happening is a bit more than 1%, so accuracy of count is important provided knowing the answer is important .

Thanks alot that you took my question seriously I really appreciate it. I wish I had your maths skills!

I will try to see how I can show it here . I don't have tracking software.
