I don't know if that is always the case, it's just more exciting to discover something than to not discover something.

That sounds like a motive to me.

But I realize my post sounded more pessimistic than I intended. I was not implying that everyone who posts one of these analyses is motivated to find cheating. Just that there is some motivation that points them toward, "I found something here" than towards, "I might have made a mistake."

Re: Is PokerStars rigged?

I can confim PS is most likely rigged.
There is a clear correlation between potsize, action and type of player.
Meanwhile the internet is full of victims:
http://www.google.com/search?q=Pokerstars+is+rigged
Just 411.000 hits.
and just 3.770 youtube vids by frustys.

But I cannot find alternatives of pokersites.
888, Titan, Ongame, PartyPoker same crap.
There must be a kind of Mafia connection.
All using same SW subcomponent or something else.

Never play for big there!

If you think it is rigged you could just quit playing there and quit making excuses for playing there like, "There is no other place to play." If the only place to play is rigged, don't play. To do otherwise would make you a fool.

FWIW, your ability to type pokerstars is rigged in google and the fact that links appear does little to prove anything other than that the internet is a place where people are freely allowed to express their own opinions.

I could cite as evidence the fact that millions of people play there as proof that the site is not rigged for instance. Millions (people) > 411,000 (links).

Re: Is PokerStars rigged?

If you put the phrase properly in quotes so we don't get unrelated results, "pokerstars is rigged" gets 24K hits. Search "Lizard People" and you get 255K hits.

So way more people believe, or are interested in discussing, the theory that the world is secretly run by a race of extraterrestrial lizard people, than believe or are interested in "pokerstars is rigged".

Re: Is PokerStars rigged?

It is my opinion that pokerstars is harder to win on than any other site I've played on.I played a lot of low stakes mtts on Ipoker and have won a small amount over a 3 year period.I start playing on Pokerstars about a year ago and I am definitely a losing player on this site despite the fact that I'm playing fundamentally the same style of play. One thing I've noticed about Pokerstars is the obscene amount of times Ak is beaten by Ax.I'm not one to run stats but it is my gut instinct that Pokerstars likes to favour the lesser players as they know good players will stick with a losing streak longer putting it down to variance.I find it hard to believe I can win consistently on one site and lose consistently on another and am expected to believe cards are dealt randomly(on both sites).

Re: Is PokerStars rigged?

I was always a winning player. Even on Stars and can handle bad beats, but it's like some guys said before odds are too slim to believe it any longer.
Yes, I was a fool playing too long on stars, but where to go?
I still like playing poker online.

The site with arguably the most regs of any site is the hardest to win on? How surprising!

What does that even mean? Try taking a moment to think before you type...

And what are those odds? And how do the results differ from those odds statistically? I guarantee you the poster can't answer any of those questions. He just has a feeling.

Yeah, I'm not one to look at stats either. That is why I think that death by a suicide bomber is more likely than death by heart attack.

Seriously, phrases like that only demonstrate your ignorance. Your opinion doesn't mean anything. How much faith would you put in a person who says this:
"I'm not a medical doctor and I'm not one for tests, data, or statistics, but I think you have cancer because my gut says so."
That is basically what you just said.

Decades of psychological evidence have demonstrated that your memory is not that good. Quit being a dunce like most people and start thinking rationally. Take a scientific approach to answering the question. Warning, it will take effort. Or take the easy route and "go with your gut."

Since you seem to be an expert at google searching, I will just point out that it isn't that hard to figure out who I am and what I do. I wish Stars would hire me. I'd probably make a lot more money working for them.
