As the title says, today I've gotten 4 straight flushes in all four suits. King high with

, Queen high with

, the wheel with

and Jack high with

. Sadly two out of the four my opponents had zilch, but the third time I got half the villains stack and the fourth time I stacked a full house. It was on bovada's zone poker (rush) over a five hour period. Probably around 2700ish. Thank you so much!

The odds of getting a straight flush (including the royal) is about 3600 to 1 against. You didn’t say how many hands were played but it is really not important for the chance of having four in one day of play is incredibly small. On the other hand, as in most of these experiences, with millions of hands played every day, it is not unusual for really low probability events to happen and more often than one would think.

Now, if you had said to a friend when starting to play the session – “Hey Fred, you know what? I think I’m gonna get 4 straight flushes today.” Well, that’s another story

If you played any 2 cards to the river, it would only about 1 in 93 that you get 4 straight flushes, and less than 1 in 1001 that you have 4 different suits.

P(str8 flush) = [36*C(46,2) + 4*C(47,2)] / C(52,7) ≈ 1 in 3217.

Less than 5% of those are on the board. Having 4 or more in 2700 hands is about 1 in 93 from the binomial distribution. If you had exactly 4, the fraction that have all different suits is 4!/4^4 = 9.375%.
